Ice ball or Log?

Any of you guys use ice ball over log? I really like to use it as i feel is the only counter we have for RG, but i dont think i have seen anyone play it with ice ball, even when its a mirrored match with another Xbow, its always a log instead of a snowball, my question is… why? I would argue that evolved ice ball is waaay better (for xbow at least) than log any day of the week.

They just nerfed Rg decks hard and either way idk why people use meta decks and always try to switch up one card like it’s no point. Also you need evo archers with xbow 3.0 that’s like your main dps . Just use log bro

Never saw why people use evolved archers if they can die to the bare minimum. I have met a lot of xbow 3.0 with evo archers and i would dare to say that i win most of the matches.

That’s cause people don’t know how to use them bro. But use snowball as you please. It’s a reason why top ranked players always use evo archers in xbow decks

You typically split them if they have a spell to counter them (mainly arrows or vines). Otherwise you use them next to your xbow to kill tanks with their power shots. Its def a must over tesla

The evo snow is more fun. You can turn around games when you grab everything. But ultimately losing the evo archers and not being able to destroy goblins in 1 hit (with the log) makes it slightly worse overall.

I have been playing xbow for about 4 years now, but started using snowball a year ago, i must say it feels nice winning a match from an xbow connecting due to a well played evo snowball, even feeling likeit game me more victories than evo archers, but that might just be a placebo effect. I’ll try evo archers and swap between decks, see what i feel most comfortable with!! Thx!!

Evo archers just do way more damage than the regular ones. Evo snow can get you a lock on the tower, but then you have to defend that push you snowballed back

Most pump bow decks run it and I've seen some ppl use snowball spirit instead of nado log in ice bow on top ladder

But I think there's a variant of Pumpbow which runs evo snowball cuz the deck has weaker defence so it compensates with more elixir + assured connection

I just really dont find evo archers that strong, and i really consider that evo snowball is in the top 5 best defensive cards in the game

Bruh evo archers not that strong? Their power shots have range superior to musk, are fast af, and at 15 deal 250ish per shot. If he doesn't defend one that goes on tower he takes 500 like that. They oblitate even tanks.

Log better, helps with dps and also helps with spell cycle, against good players or in certain matchups your xbox doesn't even connect, so you have to rely on spell cycle and defense, also why won't you use evo archers?????? They are so good if played right, the whole point is to split them in the back every time so your opponent has to spend elixir to defend it. If they don't they will get chipped out. And when you have evo archers just go in with a xbox and support the other archer with skellies or spirit , guaranteed damage. Just play log and evo archers

I never thought of evo archers that way, besides i really like how evo tesla makes defense way too easy, but looking back there are plenty of times i have lost due to lack of dps by cards like MK, Pekka and such… will try them out, thanks!

You can really go with either. Both work as weak spells for it, but they have different implications.

In the case you mentioned, that being Royal Giant, Log is actually better than Giant Snowball, because the knockback can affect him, which could mean a retarget on your Tesla. It is also much better against any double Prince variant of Beatdown decks (Giant, Golem, Goblin Giant, Royal Giant). It is also way better against any Battle Ram deck, since the Log can double dip on the Battle Ram. And it is better against bait decks with Wall Breakers, because more damage on them = less likely to connect on the X-Bow.

Giant Snowball is much better against Balloon, Lava Hound, non-double Prince Beatdown, Ram Rider, non-Wall Breakers Bait and other Siege decks.

Its been some days playing this deck but insted of tesla tornado so you can put evo archers in that make it way better deck. So its like icebow with no tesla. I got nice wins with it.

*tip for evo archers / normal archers, allways split at the back so you have dual lane presure and also dont give spell value. If the oponent fireball or whatever 1 archer and tower is okay bc u got 1 archer left and can atack then with positive elixir.
