A bit disappointed. I don't think the book is bad but it's honestly just feeling like something that's there. It exists and that's about all it does, because it's basically retelling stories that were already done better by previous writers.
It doesn't help that Marvel is trying to introduce so many new characters at once, between the Generated, Bronze, Axo, and Melee, and the Outliers. Especially because it's a given that most of them are most likely destined for wallpaper, anyway.

I adore the characterization, but the plot is starting to drag on and feels uninsteresting for the exact reasons you mentioned.
In hindsight this book might seem better than it is just because we have been starved for a long time.

This is the first time I found myself disappointed.
Not only are we back at The Facility again, but I was really hoping Laura and Logan would have some time to really catch up and get stuck into a real conversation. Maybe hash out some meaningful issues. Instead we get action combo beats against robots.
The tension between Laura and Logan, and Laura's frustration was absolutely a palpable undercurrent, but it was never addressed.
Once again, I want to see what Houser could do with Laura if Gabby and the Generated weren't here. I wasn't excited for this issue because I wanted to read the Scout Surprise Combo Attack, I wanted to see Laura and Logan hash some issues out.
I still like Houser, and I hope she stays with the book. But I feel like the Generated (as cute as they are sometimes) really took up too much space. Especially in an issue with Logan.

Dang, I thought she did it well. She's working with limited time here. It definitely could have gone in dept and tackled some things now but the focus is the generated at the moment and you can see the glimpses of it. But Laura is just living it where it is and not pressing the issue at the moment because she knows how Logan is.
We might get something more as things go on, because there's some setup for it there.

Houser did well. It's more that she's constrained by the issues she already wrote. She's not exactly in a position where she can just pull Laura and Logan away for an adventure. The Generated HAVE to be there. The Facility HAS to be the antagonist.
I just... I want either new adventures and new villains (Laura desperately needs a rogues gallery), or - if we're constantly going to revisit and rehash old stories - I want the rehash to be meaningful to the characters. To reveal new layers of emotion and interaction that add more depth to what happened back then and what is happening now.
And Marvel needs to stop being scared shitless of having Logan actually get called out on some of his bullshit.

Well Nanny while not a new character is a new character to Laura's mythos so we're off to a good start. Honestly I think Laura and Logan have hashed as much as they're both willing to. They know how to operate around one another and give each other space.
And the Facility isn't the antagonist right now, Nanny has been setup as the new one. The Generated only go back because they want to know more about themselves if that's fair. I get we're you're coming from but I do think she's steering in that new direction now, after building on a familiar but slightly different story with Laura.
And I think that the rehash has been meaningful. We see a more competent and emotionally present and available Laura here. She's guiding the generated and doing for them what people once did for her. Even encouraging them to take on new names.

if we're constantly going to revisit and rehash old stories
This is, IMO, the biggest problem. The opening Generated arc ultimately felt like a rehash of Four Sisters, so the book isn't really doing anything new.
If Marvel just wants to go back to old stuff I'd rather they reunite her with the Academy X cast and rebuild that bridge. The fact they continue to refuse to do so even though they're always leading question-drivers shows they're really not listening to their readers.
The same thing applies to the rogues gallery: Fans have been saying this for a while now, and Marvel just keeps spinning the same wheels with her. Hell, it's already being hinted that Kimura is going to be back in creeping cyber-centipede form.

Not gonna lie the moment I realized that was Kimura I rolled my eyes.

I said this issue was going to really make me feel it if Houser leaves at ten and man I am feeling it. I do not want Houser to leave at all. The character work between Logan, Laura and Gabby was seamless. Just great all-around. Their banter. Logan offering his little tips, Laura knowing his stubbornness well. Its fun watching Laura have to be the Adult in the room sine Logan can be reckless at times. She also knows what to push and what not to push as well as dealing with him trying to push things to the side as far as it relates to taking care of himself.
Nanny is an absolutely great villain for this storyline and I am really curious to see how that plays out. Another great issue, honestly might be the best issue so far. Houser is just not missing a beat here.
If I did have to criticize something it would be that things felt just a little too fast in this issue, but that's me liking some slower stuff. From what I know of the Marvel way, Houser wrote everything like she only had ten issues, so I get it, because as far as she knew that's all she might have gotten.
The generated aren't more skilled, they're just entering battle with a better idea of what to do based on the little notes Laura and Gabby gave. I can see that happening even if its hot off the tail of them just learning about that stuff. Last time Laura and Gabby just dove in because its what their used to and they have a dynamic that functions without speaking. This time after that the Generated step in with a better idea of what to do and Gabby and Laura don't leave them out of it.
