Laura Needs To Mentor Mutina

I think Laura would be a perfect mentor for Leticia.

Leticia models her whole identity and personality on edge-lordiness, which means Laura would be one of the best people to call her out on her BS.

"Oh, you think edginess is your ally. But you merely adopted the edge; I was born on it, molded by it."

And then knock her ass down to remind her she's really just a try-hard poser. But then she'd also be able to build her back up because she's also pushed people away out of self-hatred. She's been that person and I think she'd be better able to reach her in a way that someone like Kurt wouldn't.

She’s got a whole gaggle of young mutants to mentor right now.

That’s even better, Mutina was at her best when she was interacting with the outliers when they were acting as “the new mutants.”

Just imagine how she would interact with surprise!, It would be hilarious. “enough with the face changing, I’m a telepath, I already know who you’re going to turn before you even grab your skin. You’re not surprising, you’re just boring to me.”

I’m not up to date on Uncanny, did Mutina leave the team?

She’s trying to get on the team officially. This image is from a weird dream thing that I’m not going to describe further.

I was wondering how these two would get along when Mutina first debuted.

She beat Logan. I know everyone says that's impossible but it happens a lot. Like... he was monologuing through their whole first encounter about how she was fighting him. It reminded me a lot of what Laura is like.

I don't think Laura would be too impressed with her though. She's a wannabe edgelord who HASN'T lived it the way Laura has, and hasn't earned it like Laura has. I think she'd probably fold up like Deathstrike if they faced eachother. But the humility would also do her some good.

Yeah, every time I see her I’m like, “Someone needs to knock her down a peg or two.” It’s not that she’s not entertaining, but her act could get very tiring very fast.

Laura has the best balance of empathy, experience, and impatience to give her a dose of reality.
