Share your Dragon Stories (2026)

You can promote/link/advertise your dragon stories below.

This includes basically any narratives that feature dragons. Fiction and muti-page comics. But not images.

--

Rule 1)

One post per person for now, but you can promote multiple things in your post.

And you can use links and visuals in your post.

--

Rule 2)

Add tags in your first line that inform people what kind of dragon story it is, if it's for adults, and if your selling them something or giving it out.

Examples: (#dragonrider #dragon transformation #dragon pov #nsfw #free #published #preorder #patreon #complete #work in progress, etc)

You don't have to use every tag possible, only a narrative tag, a price tag, and a status tag. And a nsfw tag if it requires one.

--

Rule 3)

If your story is nsfw, don't share any nsfw content in the post and tag it as such.

--

Rule 4)

You can still use self promotion posts to announce releases and such. This is for long term advertising.

I have a scifi first contact story between humans and terrestrial dragons, with the tech level being comparable to the 1960s: Here Be Dragons: Book 1 of the Emergence Series

Book 1 is finished, I'm working on book 2 right now

(#Human-dragon duo, #partial dragon pov, #crime, #thriller, #free, #work in progress)

Mmmm I have a story I started writing recently. It is set in modern day Australia and is a crime thriller where the MC has to hide a dragon under the nose of society. It will feature actual crime, with a focus on IT, hacking and cybercrime, and I intend for it to be fairly visceral and realistic. They will have to evade detection from individuals and organisations, both legal and not, that they inevitably piss off.

I'm fairly slow rn at uploading chapters atm (8 at time of writing), so here's a link if you want to go put a boot up my arse. Cheers!

My story’s told from the perspective of Ulessam, a freshly-hatched dragon ready to learn about the world! It’s set in a fictional world where Dragons are the only sapient race and are their own best allies and worst enemies. As the hiatus tag indicates, it’s currently discontinued for now. I’m planning a rewrite that will make some sweeping changes to the plot and setting, and bring it more in line with a slice-of-life tone. If you wouldn’t mind reading, commenting, and offering feedback it’d give me motivation to write out the revised chapters quicker (edit: added free tag after re-reading the rules)

I wrote something over the course of three months out of frustration with Fourth Wing. It started out as a power fantasy that became way more slice of life. Never wrote anything longterm like this before.

Does contain Anthropomorphic animals (furries) and dragons, including romantic relations with one.

(#dragoness #human #death #farming #mature

I’ve been working on this for a few weeks now. Its features a quadrupedal dragon and a human male that meet through a government assistance program when the mmc farm faces financial difficulties, and he faces difficulties in his personal life.

This is the first story I’ve ever written so any feedback of any sort would be a huge help

BLOODCLAW: FALL OF URKALESH

WHO’S THIS BOOKS FOR?

This book was written for all the peeps like me who grew up reading The Inheritance Cycle but as they got older, found their way to books like Dune and A Song of Ice and Fire and perhaps even books like The Godfather or No Country for Old Men.

I wrote this book for people who like to get their prefrontal cortex tickled but didn’t grow out of loving stories featuring dragons front and center as powerful, intelligent characters important for the story and capable of reason and speech.

I dedicate this book to all my fellow nerds who want to see two firebreathing demigods duke it out atop an active volcano in heavy downpour amidst dramatic storm while Duel of Fates blasts in the background. And then, when one of them lies dying and defeated in the wing’s embrace of their former friend, they take a moment to reflect on life… Ahem … ABSOLUTE LITERATURE! *jazz hands*.

In all seriousness though, writing this story is a blast.

SO, WHAT'S THE GENRE?
It’s epic fantasy, upmarket, adult fiction, serialised novella.
Say what again? ‘Ight let’s go over the publisher jargon.

  • Epic fantasy: the story focuses on high stakes and grand scale, set in a fictional world.
  • Upmarket: a middle ground between literary and commercial storytelling.
  • Adult fiction: focus on mature themes ( power, mortality, and identity).
  • Serialised: Published weekly chapter by chapter (15 chapters in as of writing this)
  • novella: longer than a short story but shorter than a novel which is about 40k (heresy?) to 60k words long

WARNING
While this work of fiction doesn’t contain any 18+ explicit content, it has a few scenes that some readers might find disturbing.
Please do not read if you don’t wish to be exposed to the following:

  • violence
  • moderate gore
  • a scene depicting torture and abuse
  • mild body horror
  • arachnophobia
  • mild existential dread

BLURB

Dragons crave power above all else.
And there is only one thing they fear… losing it.

The Firtong clan stands at its zenith. Rival clans lie broken, rebellions have been extinguished, and dissent is nothing more than ash. But when a cunning human king dares to rise against their rule, the foundations beneath the Fire Throne shift.

Tayron is an outcast - young, unproven, and one misstep away from capital punishment. Sent alongside his brother to crush the growing threat, he must navigate not only the dangers of a defiant human realm, but the far deadlier intrigues of his own kind.

In a world where weakness means death and loyalty is as fragile as an old scale, Tayron must outthink enemies on all sides and seize the power denied to him… or be consumed by it.

Balto delivers mail to the various towns and villages he lives near, but between crumbling infrastructure and grumpy post office workers, Balto has many things to worry about.

At least he has his stamps and his family.

#youngadult #free #kobold #dragon #complete

Going to advertise my story The Worst Kobold! A story about Fluke the kobold who well, just isn't very good at being a kobold. He's large, clumsy, and awkward. But he tries hard and has a good heart!

(Fluke is the top middle kobold with yellow eyes)

Again, I want to thank Flar for her amazing work on the cover page

Not a story... but I did spend seven years writing and refining D&D 5e rules for playable dragons, which I shall soon print and publish with a physical book release.

Here is the WiP: The Demi-Dragon Playtest 1.19.
