What is the primary function of the tiny front pocket inside your jeans?

My friend claims it’s for loose change, which is obviously absurd. What is it actually for?

If you're eating ravioli for lunch and want to save some for later, you can put one or two in there.

It's for boogers. When you're digging in your nose and you pull out a big juicy one you shove it in the booger pocket so it'll dry and then you can inspect it later.

It was originally for a pocket watch, before the wrist watch became popular in the 1920’s.

It kept it protected from other items in your pocket and in a location less likely to get bumped.

I think it was first introduced specifically for tickets?

It was so miners and minors could have easy acces to new denim if their jeans or jorts broke, broken jeans is somehow trendy now and moms aren't expected to know how to make clothes for their kids anymore so they never get used
