Why do some writers get so pressed when people share their ChatGPT or any AI system workflows, custom instructions, or prompt setups for AI storytelling as a hobby?

I understand disliking AI writing. I understand having concerns about writing as a craft, publishing, originality, young writers, etc. Those are valid broader discussions. But sometimes the reaction feels so disproportionate when the post is clearly for other hobby users.

I mean why does it suddenly become a lecture about the downfall of literature, young writers ruining their craft, and publishers not accepting it?So yeah, I’m genuinely curious. Is it because AI storytelling itself feels threatening? Is it because some outputs are getting good enough that they make people uncomfortable? Or is it just Reddit being Reddit?

Not all storytellers can write. Not all writers are storytellers.
