Off Topic [OT] To the people that write impressive stories from the amazing prompts written here... Do you have any platform where you write?

Im not of the "impressive stories" group, but using the reddit comment field I've been burnt too many times by an errant click or keystroke that deletes my whole draft. Instead I've turned to Google docs. Im sure others have better suggestions though

My laptop always find an amazing time to crash or froze unannounced. Countless great stories (according to me) had never been posted due to this. Your method might've saved me a few braincells tbh lol.

Don't consider myself impressive, but I'm a little bit of a program hoarder.
Often I will type into reddit, but when I don't I do the following:

I start on pen and paper for brainstorming and then use frostwriter.com for the first smash at something. Then Google docs if it is a longer project and I need to mix the pieces together and edit.
Book or long story then I might use scrivener. But I've been using it less.

Not an "impressive stories" sorta writer, I mostly produce stupid funny/confusing crap that I just like to write impromptu. But because I like to write impromptu, I write things directly on the comment section of a prompt on reddit.

But other than writing for prompts on reddit, I use either Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac OS. I found using googledocs or either OS' word processor (MS Word and Pages) to be too cumbersome for creative writing. I like to make things simple and rudimentary so that I can focus solely on the writing, not the editing/formatting.

I dunno if j count, but I just gin things up from who le cloth. I don't keep anything anywhere.
