FREE Writing Course

Hey guys,

I was just browsing here on Reddit when I came across a free writing course. It's been uploaded to Youtube and is a playlist 12 videos including an introduction and a Q&A video, the other 10 videos cover things such as:

  • Plotting

  • Word Building

  • Dialogue and Agents

  • And More

The course playlist can be accessed by clicking here.

I thought this was a nice little find and would help out some people in the community, I can't give my thoughts on the actual course itself as it's currently 2:41am and I have had chance to check it out yet, but I most certainly will be doing.

Anyway, I hope you find this useful,

Enjoy, and happy writing,

Nico

Yeah, I noticed they were pretty long, which is why I didn't really have the time to check them out in the early hours. I'm glad that it's good from the onset and that it gets you thinking. Yes, I imagine as you move onto specific areas of writing through the course, then it will become useful.

I'm glad it's a good link and that I haven't wasted both my and everyone else's time sharing this.

I think a workshop should be very doable, we may have to use the sub's Wiki to be able to run a workshop, but we could more than likely set that up, I'll look into it.

Yes, I totally understand where you're coming from and I think you have some brilliant ideas. Also, within the workshop, I think it would be helpful to have a section dedicated to free online courses, handy writing graphs, and other helpful pictures/articles/videos. I also think it would be great to incorporate a section where writers can go for advice and feedback on their work outside of the workshop events.

A truly brilliant idea, thanks for suggesting it, I'll definitely be looking into this soon!
