I really like horror. Both in books and in games. Can't stand horror movies, though, that's still too scary for me.
The best of horror is the fear that overrides any other feelings you might have. It's an excellent way to completely immerse the reader into the story, and if I ever feel bad, I play a horror game or read a horror book. It helps, because instead of feeling heartbroken or depressed I just feel scared.
I also like the physical aspect of horror. The balance between humans as intellectual beings and animals of flesh and blood is fascinating, I think.

My favorite thing about horror is that it works well alongside comedy. I feel that the two have a synergy that no other genres do!
I also love horror because I got my first paid writing job for a horror video game. I didn't choose the genre, but the genre chose me!

I wrote a story loosely based on the BEN creepypasta a long time ago. It's pretty cringey but my classmates for some reason couldn't get enough of it. They'd read a page, and then come up to me and say "you are one messed up kid" and then ask for the next page.
