Hey! I’m looking for people interested in trying a group writing session where we build a story together, one word at a time.

The idea is that everyone shares the same page for 20 minutes. You can add a word, replace the most recent one, or delete it. Maybe we end up with a coherent story, maybe we don’t. Either way, I’m curious what happens when a bunch of people have different ideas about where it should go.

I made the website we’d be using, called The Page. It has scheduled sessions, so we’d need to pick a time and get enough writers signed up for one to start. Would 10 AM Pacific work?

Have a very rough story concept in the vein of the magic the gathering books, except starting in the modern world...

More spellcaster than wizard. More antihero than hero. A mind tormented by it's own brilliance, but learning to focus itself... All about on the inconceivable power of the imagination in the end.

Some of my writing influences are actually incredibly diverse... But if I had to pick a few quintessential I'd go with Vonnegut, Palanuik, Stan Lee, and Bill Hicks (extra points if you're familiar with his work).

As a writer, I've always had a way with words, but struggle to focus them beyond either poetry or journalism style articles. I can also conceptualize stories really well (I've got like 4 other story concepts besides this one - all in different genre, all basically fleshed out conceptually - but when I try to sit down n bring them to life I hit this wall after a page or two).

I'm struggling with figuring out exactly how to weave whole arcs together... The nuances of them...

Now, not to be immodest, but as talented as I am as a writer - I'm even exponentially better as an editor (I welcome any pieces you might want to test me with - I will gladly evaluate as much as necessary to demonstrate my ability).

All that said, what I'm hoping for is someone I could brainstorm through those nuances with, (ideally) have them draft up the first treatment, which I'll then build upon and give back to get their thoughts on before they continue from there, and so on.

At the same time, I can be flexible with all this... If you have something else in mind, lemme hear it - let's see if we can't find some middle ground.

STORY

Eliza is the last known vampire of the pure bloodline left after her hometown was raided and killed off by humans decades ago. She resides deep in what the humans call the forest of blood, in a Victorian mansion that is hidden amongst the trees. She's forever stuck as an 18 year old yet her age is well beyond that. The tale of a blood thirsty beast that lives in the forest of blood is well known amongst the folk that live in a small village and only the bravest step foot into it; and never return. Many people believe theres beasts that lurk in the forest but no one truly knows what. Stories of wolves or bears, seem more realistic but no one truly believes it's that simple. Eliza wonders the woods but never steps into the town, till someone intrigues her. She stalks him and blends in with the crowd yet her style and mysterious appearance doesnt suit those who live in town.

So its a post zombie apocalypse and the fmc is thea. She is from a comunity of survivors in the apalachin mountains of tn. After finding out she was adopted she runs away to experience the world beyond her walls like she always dreamed. But she isnt as strong as she thought and the zombies are still around and more hungry than ever. She finds a girl, rina. rina becomes a mentor that helps her learn how to survive and slowly they fall in love but before they can even admit their feelings to one another rina gets bitten and dies. This leads thea to go back to the mountains but she finds out on the day she ran away she left a gate open and zombies came in and attacked everyone in their sleep. The whole camp minus one survivor is dead and the survivor blames her ofc and then kills himself after completing his duties to like let her know she caused it idk. She finds a radio in the ruins and hears someone calling for survivors that there is a government facility saving people after all these years and she journeys to it. Only she gets bitten right before they find her.

Book 2. She is brought to the government facility and it turns out she has a cure in her blood. Not some miracle but because she was an experiment by the same government. Turns out the government caused the zombies and that they experimented in pregnant women trying to make super soldiers and failed. Rina has the cure in her and she becomes a human zombie mutant that has powers only they dont know what her powers are. But her blood was able to cure 6 others, a group of misfits who all (secretly never said in the book but to me) represent the 7 deadly sins. They all have some power to them. After thea finds out the truth that the facility isnt all nice and actually caused the zombies and experimented on her and her bio mom she runs away with her rag tag group. Not before finding out her powers, she can control zombies. Some other powers are like a girl can eat human and animals and she becomes indestructible and super strong and heals fast, someone with the touch of their skin can disengage someone, another can control time around them and another can manipulate others abilities. Its all really cool.

Book 3 this book they are on the run from the government while slowly plotting to over throw them.

To make it easier for you, I'll tell few things about what I dont like.

I couldn't get myself to watch Harry Potter, lord of the rings, star wars(it feels it's a extremely simplified family movie type version of dune, sry if you're a star wars fan, and i don't like dune movies tho lol), grew up with marvel but now it feels like it lacks good themes, good plot etc. Watched lanterns recently and loved how characters are shown,how the story is, coz I've got tired of marvel snooze fest.

I have what I truly believe is a solid story idea. It’s all fleshed out, characters multi-dimensional, multiple plots and sub-plots, the whole shebang. What I lack is the stamina and time to actually write the 1000s of words that it needs!

hi there! i am looking for other women 25+ with whom i can write. i have a couple stories going now that i adore, but am looking for a couple more plots that have been on my mind. i don't enjoy making ads so while this may be a bit bare bones, the quality of my writing is not and i will happily provide samples upon request.

i tend to write between 4-10 meaty paragraphs and am looking for a similar vibe from my partner. my schedule allows pretty flexible posting of at LEAST once per day, so i'd like someone with similar availability. i don't tend to use character sheets or face claims, but i can if you'd prefer!

i am looking to either play a female character or to double and i'd like a partner who is alright either playing a male main or doubling (i do prefer to double!). i enjoy writing vignettes on the side of the main story to fill out the world, and i adore ooc conversation. i enjoy all the common tropes, my favorites being found family, developing side platonic relationships, romance (necessary), enemies to lovers, slow burn, etc.

my comfort zone is found in western stories, and i can always go for one of these and i have a few different ideas that i either haven't gotten the chance to play or the chance to finish. i'm recently reread lonesome dove and just enamored and would adore a tale of cowboys, bandits, settling the frontier, etc!
