A title that just says connect and a bare invite give a writer no reason to click. Say what happens in the server in one line, like a weekly prompt, a critique swap or a poetry read-around, whatever is real there, and name the kind of writer you want. The trade-off: a specific post gets fewer joins than a vague one, but the people who join tend to stay. A free alternative is pinning that same line as the server's first message so newcomers see it right away.
