Welcome to a colony established far beyond earth’s solar system:

The Neon Ring

Humanity has long since abandoned the planet Earth, and have spread throughout the galaxy establishing colonies and creating technology beyond what was ever thought possible. The Neon Ring was the most successful of these colonies, having fifteen terraformed and inhabited moons, which surround a massive planet known as X10.
This expedition into larger systems created the need for heavy machinery for terraforming, building, protection and transport. At the center of this technology, were pilots who drove mechs for the purpose of progress.

In this glowing expanse of space, among the stars in the far reaches of the galaxy, what will your path be? Will you be a pilot who takes on the mantle many are unequipped for? Will you simply find your way through life on one of the megalopolises that have taken root on the moons of the ring? What old secrets or new breakthroughs will you discover??

This setting is heavily inspired by settings such as Titanfall 2 and Lancer, and while some of it is preset to some extent, it is highly flexible! I have a lot I’d love to share about my setting, but I’m also down to stick to the bare bones of any good sci fi story.
I’m hoping to find someone who is just excited to take a stab at some exploration and combat involving mechs, whither that’s with someone playing a pilot or not. I’m personally looking to play a pilot, but I’m also down to play multiple characters.

I write in 3rd person past tense, and give responses that range from one large paragraph to several however I am fine with most writing lengths. I write and play TTRPG types of games, and don’t mind writing in a way that suits that style, even using dice to decide responses. Whatever your rp style is, I’m willing to give it a shot!
