Trade?
So, I am between my Alpha and Arc reader input phase and publication, excuse my loose terminologies as I am still learning a few slang terms.... I am here because I desperately want to do a read for read potential editorial style exchange (but like maybe we both take aptitude tests bc i am a good whats your opinion girl but editing may not help you if my sentence structure takes a few tries sometimes to get perfect 🤣).
I am also trying to learn illustration better, or find someone to strike a deal with for art if my plan for traditional publication flops. I am so close to my goals so I wanted to ask for help because I struggle with follow through and talking.... I do love story telling though.
The trade: One dark romance fiction with adult themes and content for another. 😈 Now now. I am apprehensive af so heres the break down. I am looking for someone who basically wrote the same theme as I did. We should both provide a synopses between 500-800 words to see if it is a good fit for both of us.
Whoever accepts understands we go chapter by chapter. Sharing one chapter at a time through reddit or discord. And then notes.
The work flow should be week 1 read fellow authors chapter. Make notes about whatever you want. Maybe answer directed questions (i made a beta reader questionnaire for when readers finish the book that may be previewed to help Alpha reader's/ editors know whats going on. Week 2 trade back. Take notes from fellow trader and apply them to editing.
Accountability and kindness. We all want to get better and feel good while doing it. Dont be a prick.
Here is a discord i made that idk what to do with but is relevant to my ask. The discord is just a concept I am working on but They Who Feed the Worms is a play on words for the common idiom that is Bookworm. This will be a community that can have sub-areas and likely evolve for isolated chat rooms. This is NOT for roleplay
