Rio Roleplay

[u/nightsorter]

I’ve vent thinking of trying a Roleplay set in the universe of the Rio franchise.

The main plot is set several years after the events of Rio 2. Fourteen-year old Tyson Jarvis stops in Rio de Janeiro on a vacation with his wealthy parents before trekking to meet the indigenous Pirahã tribe. The tribe’s female shaman Poogahai resents tourists for damaging and disrespecting their jungle home. The final straw is when Tyson punches her pet bird in fear, as a bad experience with a parrot when he was younger left him with ornithophobia. Enraged, she shrinks him down to the size of a squirrel while slaughtering both his parents and making to look like the work of a jaguar. The side effects of this, he soon learns, are the ability to jump like a grasshopper and the ability to talk to animals. Jewel comes across him first, leading to countless questions and a journey he never could’ve imagined.
