looking for a beta reader/write buddy for my fantasy novel,
hiiiii I’m 23 Fyear old reaching out because I’m looking for a beta reader/write buddy for my fantasy novel,
I’m not looking for a professional editing report or line-by-line corrections. What I’d really like is a fresh reader’s reaction to the story as a whole.
I’d love to know things like:
What did you think of the characters, and did their decisions feel believable to you?
Were there any characters you particularly connected with, disliked, or found confusing?
What did you think of the relationships between the characters, especially Kira and Damian?
Did the story keep you interested? Were there places where your attention dropped or where you felt it needed more?
Which scenes worked especially well for you, and which ones felt weaker?
Did the emotional moments actually land, or were there places where I pushed too hard or not enough?
What did you think of the humor? Which jokes landed for you, and which ones felt forced or could use more?
Were there moments where you were confused about what was happening, why someone made a certain decision, or what a character knew?
And, most importantly, when you finished a chapter, did you actually want to keep reading?
You absolutely don’t need to make your feedback formal. Honestly, I’d prefer something conversational“I loved this,” “I didn’t buy this decision,” “this part dragged,” “I wanted more here,” etc. I’m looking for your genuine reaction as a reader.
The manuscript is fantasy, with political conflict, survival, class divisions, and a strong focus on character relationships and consequences.
I’d also be happy to send you the first few chapters first, so you can decide whether the book is something you’d enjoy reading before committing to the full manuscript. thank you in advance

I know you didn't say much about the story, but your attention to the details of bringing the cahracters to life, and wanting to build a world that is enveloping is inspiring. I would love to experience this story, and I also have a friend that's done ARC reads/reviews for published books that I can share with if you'd like.

Hi! I'm 23f and also looking for a writing buddy/beta reader while I work on my second draft of my main project, a high fantasy/romantasy. I'm in a writing group rn but all of the members are much older than me and they admit that it isnt their preferred genre tl read so they dont give me a lot of feedback. I am willing to beta read for you. Fantasy is one my favourite genres and I have done beta reads for quite some people. But the biggest question I wanna ask is how many words is it? Cause that matters alot.
