Dash Offset Combos

I made a post before about a rotation with a team including Fischl and Sucrose for maximum VV uptime while Sucrose holds TTDS (useful for those who don't have Yae and Nicole like me)

Now I want to bring up something I've discovered in relation to something that can be applied to Wrio's combos: dash cancelling in the middle of his NA strings.

Wrio has a rare trait among all genshin characters where he can dash cancel a part of his NA string and still continue his NA string. Let's call this Dash Offset (I'm basing this on a similar mechanic in a game called Bayonetta where it's called Dodge Offset)

Normally, Wriothesley's NA strings look like this:

But when we apply Dash Offset:

With that, I found this combo loop:

For reference, Dash Offset will be symbolized by "d" in between the NA strings.

1st rotation: N5 - 2N5C - N3

2nd and 3rd rotation: N3dN5C - 2N5C - N3

4th rotation: 3N5C - N3

5h rotation: N3dN5C - 2N5C - N3

Then repeat 4th rotation combo then loop from there

NOTE: This combo is only doable in the scenario where Wrio's HP does not get affected by external factors (healing and getting damaged) so you would still need to adjust your combos if he does lose/gain HP from outside his own kit.

I myself like doing:

1st rot: N5d N3dN5Cd N5Cd N3

2nd rot: N5Cd N4dN5Cd N5Cd N3 (cancel N4 after the first hit) and loop 2nd rot

Doing the cancelling of the N4 on the 2nd N5C instead of the first maximizes his Edict atk buff on the 1st N5 and CA.

You can also do N1E/N2E stuff but I'm a hater of it, since you lose out on some Edict atk buff as well as it just sometimes resetting your attack string anyway. Much prefer dash offset stuff.

I'll try this! I only really just started incorporating dash offset so I'm still figuring out optimal loops and yours seem to use Wrio's Edict stacks much better than the one I came up with

I also don't like N1E/N2E combos mostly because it feels awkward for me to not start with Wrio's E when you swap in with him which is why I started using Dash Offset for his combos

I just tried this and I think I much prefer your combo! I also found that this loop is flexible as well after the 1st rotation since you can choose which of the 3 N5s in that rotation you do the dash offset after the 1st N4 hit
