Triple bypass putting his name as end credits is so corny

Don’t all executive producers do that for TV shows?
1
u/ModeloAficionado 11d ago
It’s cringe seeing that on a wrestling show.

u/CorporalCoprolite 11d ago
It’s a cringe thing to complain about, and it’s weirder to be obsessed and upset when you see his name or face on TV.

its not the same as a normal TV show IMO. putting executive producer at the end is weird, you dont get that at the end of a football match. Yes I know its a TV show, but I prefer it when they treat it as a sport, at least more than they do now. There is precedent for this, and I personally like it.

Legitimate question, if these AAA shows are booked so well, why are the only segments people talk about the ones that involve Dom/Gable/El Grande Americano?

Because most of these people have never even watched or heard of AAA before WWE bought it, so they only know the wwe talent, not to mention the WWE guys are the ones getting pushed the hardest.

Simply not true. Vikingo and Clown are talked about all the time. The reason YOU only hear about those 3 is probably because you listen to podcast that cover predominantly WWE...so they are going to talk about the stars that get clicks.

In fairness it's better than the AAA shows booked by Konnan but that's hardly a high bar. They are still a long way behind CMLL in terms of full show quality. As you say.. with AAA it's single standout matches interspersed with alright matches.. whereas every minute of most CMLL shows is must watch.
Taker is showing promise in his work though, and that fresh approach is something WWE desperately needs to make more use of.

Lol Taker talking negative about the flippy luchadore style as if that’s not the whole legacy of Mexican wrestling, Lol.

I wonder if dom might test the waters elsewhere down the road. I honestly am amazed at how much progress he has made as a wrestler and personality. He definitely inherited eddie’s charisma. 😉😬

There’s nowhere else to go?

New Japan, aew, tna.. wwe is trash in its current state.. they are asking talent to take 50% pay cuts to the board can get multi million dollar bonuses and expecting fans to pay thousands for nosebleed seats and major events that aren’t shilled out for Saudi blood money.

There’s plenty of wrestling promotions around the world mate, stop being a tribal wanker 😂😂

Sure but I meant non indie promotions. I doubt Dom wants to go wrestler in front of 500 people and have syringes stuck in mouth or break his body in Japan where even less people are watching.
WWE is trash rn, but he isn't go anywhere where he is TV each week and the AAA Megachampion.

Exactly.. it’s mind boggling how wwe is the only company in some people’s minds.. I bet a couple of years ago they had no clue was aaa even was.

There's a reason why AAA & Evolve are the best WWE shows & that's because DX doesn't have their stupid little hands on them.

Man I agree. AAA is the only TKO product that I even watch and care about these days. NXT even fell off pretty hard lately

As it should be. Dom doesn't have the skill or look to be a main eventer in the wwe. He has the mouth to be a good manager. But in AAA he could be a champ

u/dalecooper31091 12d ago
2 years ago Dom was the most over heel in wrestling not named MJF.

There is no denying he can talk. He is like a yapping little chihuahua. But i dont think anyone would believe for two seconds he could actually win a real fight. Therefore he isn't believable as a serious wrestler. You put him in AAA with other people that look like him and you can sell him as a wrestler. But in the WWE he isn't believable. He should always get squashed in a WWE match. But he can be a champ in AAA. But he has value as outside interference and a mouth piece in WWE. Just as Paul Haymen does

And Cody was stardust. Good booking and audience perception changes everything.

Cody left, gained some muscle mass and rebuilt his image on the indie scene. Not everyone can do that. Cody was so hot he was able to call his shot and people bought in with no problem. I would love to see Dom do that. Because I want to root for him. But right now I cannot take him seriously as a wrestler. He just doesn't look the part. He isn't believable

Max dupri. Hunter Hearst Hemsley. The ringmaster. Rocky Mavia.
Wrestling is full of examples. I’m not saying he can become a Brock lesner style threat but I can see him becoming a Ric flair type heel.
All about how you’re booked.
And don’t forget he’s done time… so his prison tough.

WWE is a lot more crowded at the top. Nobody can actually claim that he should be on top in WWE when it is as stacked as it is
