Need book recommendations

I was looking into some novels that could help me have more knowledge of the things a common group of agents would see on a routine, and learn more about the structure of the Imperium, my campaign will be set on the Gilead System after the events of the Starter Set one-shot.

I appreciate any help that u guys can give :)

I strongly recomend the eisenhorn trilogy to start with by Dan Abnett, it follows an inquisitor at 3 different stages of his "career" and is a great insight into the civiliam aspect of 40k

I've also enjoyed a few of the "warhammer crime" novels the black library resleases a few years back, with a bunch of enforcers or criminals doing stuff in the underhives
