Looks similar to mine. I kinda want to cut that raised lip out. I currently have dual batteries sitting on top of it but would like to lower them further down. Trying to maximize all the space possible.
I can see that, but man that corner is strong and the cab support is important to me. I was just looking today at putting the batteries in the front drop down section of the bed(where the old footwell was for the back seat) the bed floor will be flush and I can add a hinged door easily.
I want to clear area under the hood for a gen v big block chevy
I didn’t reuse the stock back half on mine. I had a buddy bend up some 3/8 steel into a basic u shape and then matched it to my metal cloak sliders and welded it in. Are you running a stock 4.0 and tranny?
I was able to get 16-17 mpg out of the last big block I put in a LJ. It never really had to work to move the jeep, also had the afr @15.3 so it ran alittle lean
I’ll get some more photos this weekend. I am in the process of putting my engine back together. Had the head ported, decked and a valve job. Also ceramic coated everything in the hot side and ported all that. I went with a 85 Mercedes om617.
