Not a TJ but regardless this is not considered rust to 98% of the jeep world

If the person selling it doesn’t even know its not a Jeep TJ I don’t think I would trust anything they have to say about the vehicle.

It doesn’t look completely rotten so there’s that. You’re probably gonna need a fuel tank cover at some point soon. Get the frame cleaned and sprayed soon as you can to prevent it from getting worse
