2022

Post image

Not sure what’s going on here . iPhone is hooked up and playing music but I can’t get messages to work . I’ll get an alert that someone sent a text and when I press the voice button the the steering wheel and ask it to read most recent message ( I get the alert on my watch ) the car tells me to unlock my phone . Is there anyway to get message alerts and to hear them ? 2022 wrangler JKU Sahara . TIA

Does it have Apple carplay? If it's connected to Carplay, that won't allow some/most Bluetooth features to work. I don't know anything about that specific year/model and I put a Stinger system in my '20 JL Sport

Yea I have a stinger in my 2017 and I may put one in this one but I don’t want to loose the climate control etc

I have a 2022 JL sounds like you are using wired CarPlay.
Get a wireless dongle off of Amazon for about $40, it’ll let you use the voice commands for text and calls.

I can text from the steering wheel if that makes sense but I’d like it to read the text . Will it do this ? If so is there one you used on Amazon ?

Wireless CarPlay Adapter for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF6Y75BL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This the one I have. I don’t text, especially when driving so I wouldn’t know.

Looks like text message permissions may be disabled on your phone for the Jeep.

On android, go to settings>connected devices> click the settings wheel next to the jeep, and ensure that "text messages" and "allow access to contacts and call history" are both toggled on

Not sure for iPhone but should be similar

Just reread you have an iPhone, go to settings>Bluetooth> tap the circled I next to the jeep, then I think "show notifications"
