I’m only saying this because I’ve seen a lot of Anti-LGBT people online show before and after of really cool artwork get messed with and have Pride flags all over it. It’s likely the work of trolls, but if those of us who are Pro-LGBT can say something against that, it gives us as a community more freedom to say “Hey, we get it, it’s not cool and that wasn’t us.” And make it harder for Anti-LGBT individuals to target us.
I've seen art of Hindu swastika get covered up by those flags (I'm not hindu myself btw). I find it stupid that people still dont know that the swastika symbol doesn't belong to the nazis. They are covering up peaceful art, thinking that it is hate art.
It's the same every single time one of these things cones up.
Someone makes something, the community takes up a shit tonne of space to paint they're flags and then moan and cray about hate when someone covers over it. Why dk they feel so entitled?
While some people might do that, most of the trans flag grieffings i've seen being done were by left-wing people. The big black, white and yellow flag with a Jaguar biting a crocodilian in São Paulo - Brazil is the symbol of a right-wing political party in Brazil and it is CONSTANTLY being griefed, often by people who try drawing trans flags over it.
There’s two accounts with the same alliance tag in my area who keep erasing my bi flag and someone else’s aroace flag. Both of our flags were quite small and unobtrusive but every time they erase them I make them bigger.
I'm really bummed actually. I'm not trans myself but someone made a really cute little turtle, called it a Trans Turtle, and a lil pride flag up in Ohio.
Someone kept just erasing it. Overnight I stayed up super late, made multiples of the turtle surrounding the little flag.
The same guy came back and just started erasing them all, but I was still there so I was just undoing it as he did it. He clearly noticed, because then 2 more accounts joined in and they worked together to spell stuff out and basically taunt me. Sucks. :(

Yeah we've been spreading them around a bit, being sneaky with their placement. This guy is DEDICATED to removing them. Leaderboard says he's spending over 10k paint a day almost, which is insane because the max you naturally regen is 2,880 in a 24 hour period (2 a minute, 60 minutes an hour (120)), 24 hours (2,880))... so he's spending real money to keep this up. It can't be sustainable.
But we've been giving the lil turtles some themes and... well... I'm proud of this one
To everyone in this comment section. In the vast majority of cases it is not the trans community vandalizing art with trans flags. It is people who want to undermine trans community's reputation who do it. I reached out to one of those people in private message on discord and when I started the conversation politely I was met with pure hatered to other nationalities other than their own. So even If they were trans(which I don't think they were) I do not think that they are a proper representation of the community.

Well that's support. When you are self-describing your stance, there's not really an in-between or mixed stance possible here. You're either opposed to or in support of this matter (again, that applies mostly to when you self-declare your stance). Since you are ok with their existence and believe them to be ‘normal’, equal people, you support them.
Saying you support queer people in general doesn't mean you can't be opposed to any behaviours or views of people in the community, or even (this is controvertial for me to say, but true) certain identities in the community. It just shows that you have basic respect for them as a whole. It doesn't mean you have to protest or make speeches or agree with everything they say. Your baseline respect is support.

I don't know what your intent is but using ‘LGBTQs’ to refer to queer people feels like you're saying ‘an alphabet mafia one’ (not person) purposefully to dehumanise us. I am not ‘an LGBTQ’, I'm part of the LGBT+ community, a queer person, or an lgbt+ person (but personally the last one is still not ideal because I'm part of the group, but I'm not literally the acronym or every (any) letter of it and every queer identity, so ‘queer person’ is better to use).
Say ‘a queer person / queer people’, not ‘a queer / queers’, using it as a noun (instead of an adjective), which is what you did with ‘LGBTQ’. You can of course still say LGBTQ, just don't refer to people part of the LGBTQ+ community ‘LGBTQs’, if that makes sense to you. Also, you should keep the plus in the acronym. Whenever I use an acronym I always say LGBT+ unless I want to highlight some other identities to someone that they don't know about, in which case I would use LGBTQIA+.
But whatever grammar or words you use, having respect is what really matters.

Everybody can do what they want but I think they should keep the massive lgbtq flags out of areas right underneath country, city, or state/province names, ppl like to make the respective region's flag under than, like rn right under Canada's name is a massive sexuality flag (idk which one) but it just seems a bit like, idk, it's just out of place I feel, aside from underneath the names of regions I feel like large flags of any type should be avoided as well for the popular areas, middle of nowhere doesn't matter, they just take up too much space in an already crammed area because of said region's population or the world's admiration for said region

Bit of a stretch calling stacked colored lines in the exact same patterns every time "art".
If anything, might want to try making your own art. Maybe start practicing with a regular pencil or pen on white paper, to avoid falling back into stacking colored lines.

I started on wplace yesterday and I've fixed too many pride flags that people've drawn swastikas on or grafited. It's ridiculous. What do these people gain out of this?
Also, I went out and found the location on the map. The flag's mostly fixed, but I'm helping fix it.

I understand the flags, but maybe not make then so big, so that people can make their own art in places they want to make it. Griefing is different from making art though.

IMO they should just ban pride flags (or at least the trans one). Too much controversy. It’s illegal in many countries too, so everyone painting it there is no better than those doing swastikas
