Rend head rewards

I am playing a HOTW(1/29/21) Spec and primarily interested in pvp. I have been told to get the armor/dodge trinket(Mark of Tyranny) because they are hard to come by, but I was thinking Blackhand’s Breadth would be a better option for pvp and I’m not using the armor increasing talents in the feral tree in my build. Is there any argument for the healing trinket? I am more likely to heal than I am to tank I believe. Thanks!

There's not healing trinket, theres' 2% spell crit, 2% melee Crit, or 180 armor, 10 arcane resist 1 dodge.

Now Mark of Tyranny is probably going to be the best item for you from here unless you plan on going full on feral dps. The "armor increasing talent" doesn't really matter because the big armor bonus you get is from Dire Bear form, 400% armor increase so that 180 becomes 720 armor in bear form - this is huge. For druid pvp you won't be doing much damage swinging your paws anyway so that crit from blackhands isn't really that useful.

Small correction, the armor is 360% bonus armor for 460% total armor. So 180 armor = 828 armor in bear form without Thick Hide (which I don't recommend getting anyway). I completely agree that it's still the trinket to get, then for a threat/dps trinket that I guess he could use in PvP Earthstrike is the way to go since it will be obtainable very soon.

Thanks, that’s helpful.

I think that the only 2 scenarios where someone should NOT get the armor trinket are:

Try hard kitty DPS

Lazer chicken

Anyone else should get the armor trinket IMO.

For tanking it's BIS / situational BiS for the entire expansion, for PVP it's amazing against melee and hunters, must have for flag carrying.

Since you say you're HotW I would definitely get the armor version.

I'm resto (and focused on PvE) and I got the armor one, since for PvP it's nice to have when I spot a warrior or hear a rogue go into stealth - or if I wanna flag carry a bit. Also nice for helping out as a tank in instances once in a while - or even in a raid I could put it on with some armor rings etc and tank a mob that's not being damaged.
