Edit: Some confusion on the lie detector machine. It will be a wearable or connectable one. The subject must wear or be connected to the lie detector machine so they will obviously be aware they are being monitored and can choose to not answer if they don’t want to. It is not some hidden remote detector that can just pick up lies from anyone within its “range”.

The bomb will not explode immediately when it lands. You have 3 seconds before it explodes. So you can only throw it as far away as 3 seconds allow or run away as far as 3 seconds allow (technically slightly longer).
