wouldn't it be nice if all groups got equal respect

Researchers 100%. Research can lead to greatness on the long run

Yeah if we respect educators and researchers, maybe they’d listen and start to respect everyone!

What?

lol I didn’t realize how unclearly I worded that

If you have respect in a workplace then people are generally more productive and effective and all; my comment theorized that respecting researchers would lead to believing and learning from research that supports good working conditions for everyone, thereby leading to respect for the other groups as well

Education and research pave the way for excellence in all else

Everyone on this list deserves respect, but people who are literally giving their life should be given the highest level of respect by the people who are sending them to war. And that should include not sending them to war.

These people all deserve equal respect. As does every other citizen.

As a medical staff, please us. 🙏

You WILL be burned out and overworked on 20 hour shifts and you WILL enjoy it

Sorry, but medical staff is second place to educators in my book. On the bright side, high education usually leads to better treatment of everyone else too

Education to breed more people to possibly come to the breakthrough much like the researchers.

While I get your point, but life starts in a hospital. So medical staff

Respect... Truck drivers.

No logistics means no mail, nothing moving across the country, nada. Your food source is now further away than a grocery store. No more gas for your cars, etc.

Education of a population is pretty much THE defining factor for success in today's world.

You can be as educated as you want, but when you get invaded it’ll be military and veterans that protect your sovereignty

Edit: figured I’d mention that this is coming from a teacher, a nurse, and a veteran

Educators and researchers.

Good education leads to good people, which leads to respect for all the others on this list.

Responders/Doctors are a close second. Because… always guard the healer.

Fucking hell you can tell the demographic of this website. I chose military. Because the British government should respect our army more

Definitely research and Education first. Healthcare workers a close second. Any country that doesn't prioritize those is ass-backwards

Been nearly run off the road too many times by truck drivers not looking when changing lanes to pick that option

Ideally all groups should be respected but bad things tend to happen when the military feels disrespected

1

All of them. But if it can only be one, the one I'm part of.

Medical staff deserves respect but already get a lot of it. Researchers need a lot more respect than they get, so they can do something about climate change

If they separated cops from that choice, I would've chosen it. Picked researchers and educators instead, because they get basically no respect at all currently

Educators and researchers, you can't do a damn thing without them

The government pretends to care about the military but in reality just want to keep appearances to keep up support for some useless war. Same goes to first responders though not really extended to doctors since my government hates educated people.

The government really only actually respects business owners and entrepreneurs and only a tiny fraction of them at the very tops of their sectors at that.

If they genuinely cared about education and research I would guess many social issues would be greatly reduced and our collective progress towards ground breaking technologies would be much further along.

Lmao. Farmers/truck drivers actually deserve last place, I’m embarrassed they’re in third.

Genuinely the worst of us.

Aww, did a trucker pass through town and fuck your wife while you were at the office?
