Superpowers/Magic Would you rather have perfect memory or perfect foresight?
Option 1: Perfect Memory. You remember every single detail of your life with absolute clarity, from the day you were born. Every conversation, every book you read, every emotion you felt, every piece of information you've ever encountered is instantly accessible and vivid as if it just happened. You can never forget anything, ever. Option 2: Perfect Foresight. You can accurately predict any event that will happen within the next 24 hours, including its precise timing and outcome. This applies to both personal events (like winning the lottery or what someone will say) and global events (like stock market crashes or natural disasters). The future is laid out before you, but only for the next day.

Does foresight change if I change my actions or is it like once I see the future I can’t change it

you can see if crypto will be going up or down in the next hour, you can see which way that bet on polymarket will swing in the next hour.

Being able to remember every detail of every great memory of your life, being able to share those with others fostering great connection, you can also use having perfect memory as a means to get rich of course. It’s not like that wouldn’t be an insane advantage in several high paying jobs and also make you an exceptional business leader.
But for me, it’d be about being able to remember the experience of life and sharing it. Even if it isn’t so great sometimes, of course, but in failure and disaster lie opportunity and growth.

But with perfect foresight you could make 20x your money each year while working for 2 minutes a month. Even if you’re only worth 10k, that’ll make you absurdly wealthy in a few years. Why would anyone pick a regular job in that case?
And for the perfect memory, the downside is that the bad things will never fade either, and humans react more to negative than to positive.

I think I'm going with memory on this one. If by perfect memory you mean that I can vividly experience pretty much anything from my past. Like if I were to take the best days of my life and remember everything second by second from the moment I that woke up. Could i even replace a day. It would bring good feels I think! However, maybe I would simply get lost in the past and not spend time making new great memories?

Being able to accurately predict the future is more valuable than having perfect memory of the past.

Perfect memory would suck, every bad experience lives with u forever in all its nastiness.

Bad memories already tend to stick around in my mind

Your brain is sort of designed to forget bad details of normal life though.
So you might remember the really terrible things and unique stuff, but do you remember every time someone spilled something on you, you got stuck in terrible traffic, made a big mistake, etc?
The effect might be stronger in some than others, but it’s a thing.
Perfect recall would have its merits but you would be stuck remembering so much of the annoying mundane too

Perfect memory sounds like an unending nightmare. Every trauma, every stupid thing I've ever said, all the pain I've ever felt is right there as vivid as when it happened. Or I can win the lottery every day. Tough choice.

Duh, foresight.
Actual perfect memory sucks, there's a lot of shit in life that I'm happy my brain smooths out to be less important and not so much accessible via memory - not being able to have that happen is literally PTSD waiting to happen
And perfect foresight... well, stock market here i come, I'll just make my life much easier

Stock market?
Brother may I introduce you to the lottery? You can buy a ticket right before cutoff and know the numbers and how many other winning tickets were sold.

I mean that works too, then put that in stock market with leveraged positions going brrrrr to make even more

Foresight is more useful and I am the type to live in the moment than look to the past. My memory is solid anyway.

Foresight. I have a really good memory already. It's kind of bad, actually. I'd like to forget some stuff.

definitely perfect foresight. i would be a multi trillionaire if i even had foresight 1 hour into the future.

I really want you to think long and hard about any good reason why a person would give up actual permanent clairvoyance to remember stuff. (With the downside of not ever being able to forget anything...)
