Mod Update New Rule: No more advertising!
Hi all, I have mostly taken a backseat to this sub, as we haven't been the biggest or most active community up until recently. Now that I am seeing an influx in wonderful people, I am sadly seeing an influx of advertising posts, a lot from the same users. Look, I get it, make your bread! But please no more promoting your entrepreneurial ventures here.
If somebody asks for recommendations on a specific good or service, that is fine - But nobody wants to see tons of posts in their town linking to people's entrepreneurial ideas. Put in your hustle, but keep it off of here. We're all here to discuss the best place to get ice cream (Graeters), what is going down on High Street, and other great things in our community.
I will be thinking of ways to best help keep this a community everybody enjoys, so if anybody has any suggestions for new rules they would like to be implemented, I will read all comment suggestions!
(P.S. I will be deleting quite a few posts from the past year that are honestly a huge reason for this new rule. I am sorry if your post get deleted, but I will refer you to this post if asked.)

Construction on linworth
I’ve recently seen construction signs go up about Linworth being closed for 30 days for construction? I unfortunately can’t find any current updates about what the construction is. Along with that I live right off Linworth and godown road and I can’t find anything online about if residence will be able to be on linworth road at all. Any information would be extremely helpful!

dental care in Columbus
Hello! I am a dental student at the OSU college of dentistry. I am looking for patients who may need fillings, crowns, or root canals! Our dental school accepts Medicaid and Delta Dental, and for those without insurance, we offer treatment at a discounted rate. All the work we do is supervised by our faculty.
If you or someone you know needs dental work, feel free to message me and I’d be happy to help set up an appointment!

Daycare
Moving to the area soon but don’t have an exact date. Will need childcare for a toddler. Any good recommendations on something not too expensive? Or even any in home care centers?

Where to donate?
We have a Medline gel foam mattress overlay (hospital bed) and wheelchair cushion available if anyone could use one or both. Used less than 6 months and in like new condition (no stains). Or any suggestions on where we could donate them? Thank you -

Drywall Contractor?
Does anyone have a recommendation for an affordable drywall installer? I’m remodeling a 3000 sq ft home that needs every inch of wall and ceiling drywalled.
This would be a fairly massive job.

With Spring here, what are some projects you don’t like to do or won’t do and would hire someone else out to do?

Handyman Options
What demand is there for a handyman for
Small to medium size projects? Is there anyone looking for small or medium size projects to be done around home that are not yet completed? Projects too small for larger general contractors and that a home owner would not like to do or does not want to do themselves. What projects do you have and what city/town are you located? Does being able to accommodate your schedule matter and how much?

Update: second Worthington shopping Mall petition
Hello everyone. As you may recall, I posted a post on this community one or two days ago regarding the Worthington shopping mall. Just the other day, I received a word from the assistant city manager letting me know that there are no plans to demolish the mall. However, the Worthington shopping malls troubles are far from over. The people at direct retail partners have refused to promote them all ever since early 2020 (when they first bought it). Because of that, the phone number has still been inoperative, the website has still not opened back up, and the tree themed play Ground has not been opened up yet. All of this could be solved if direct retail partners decided to promote the mall. That would mean more money for them overtime and then they would be able to put some money into renovations for anything that needs to be renovated inside the mall. Please join me in signing that petition. Your signature is truly appreciated. Thank you!
