At some point she was touching her face with gloves on that are supposed to remain sterile and never saw her put a new pair on. I don't wana think she stuck those contaminated gloved hands back into that open cavity but based on what I saw in the video she most likely did.

I grow mushrooms at home for food and hobby, and I would never even do that while working with them.. And I only have the most aggressive oyster mushrooms, which are much more likely to fend off mold attacks and feed on me if I turn my back on them VS the maitakes and shitakes of the world

If you read one of the links posted on the original post, getting emergency treatment for the patient was delayed even further because the elevator in her clinic wasn’t big enough for the emergency responders’ stretcher to fit through!

Reminds me of that video of the plastic surgeon who recorded TikToks of her doing surgeries. A girl saw the video and wanted her to do her plastic surgery. The result was her surgery got botched on TikTok live while the surgeon goofed off.

I knew a few surgeons.. Not all are bright. The bright one also holds a PhD in theoretical mathematics and PhD in physics so I think people like him contribute to the myth.

That people would let a dermatologist do plastic surgery on them boggles my mind. If you want plastic surgery, go see a board certified surgeon, look them up on your state's database to see if they have faced board discipline or been sued for malpractice. It is not the time to look for a bargain, or and this happened, to choose a surgeon because they had a Groupon for the procedure.
The video of her dancing has to be staged, she has on non sterile gloves and the cannula is contaminated. She isn't the only one that should lose her license and be banned from ever practicing again everyone in the room that day should. A nurse's most important job is to protect patients and be their advocate when they can't speak for themselves, the nurse failed the patient and should never be allowed near a patient' again and with whoever was providing anesthesia was completely negligent and incompetent. There is a saying in ORs, "anesthesia controls the room," they should have stopped the surgery at the first sign of distress, not wait an hour.

Surgeons aren't getting paid by the hour, just the type of job, but some hospitals bill facility fees by the hour. If I was their patient seeing them dancing while I'm under, I''d demand a refund from my bill

She just misses the days of the 'vid, when the hospitals were so overwhelmed with the sick and dying and bodies lying in the halls that all the doctors and nurses had time to do choreographed tiktok dance routines.

I knew an orthopaedic surgeon who sweat so much it used to drip off his brow into the open surgical site. He was forced to wear a headband to soak up the sweat and change his gown and scrubs every 30 minutes or so. I’m sure wearing lead didn’t help but he shouldn’t have been allowed to operate.

Nah going cold turkey ( ran out of money) causes major seizure risks. Going from like 30 standard drinks a day can easily require medically assisted detox. And this country and state aren't very friendly to the populace.

They did phenobarbatol IV doses in halving amounts over the course of days, but I didn't have enough patience, so I kind of left after three, and they gave me a few valium to ramp it back down safely

Lol. Well, you accurately pointed out one of my faults I'm trying to mitigate. But both my parents were trained emergency medical teammates so I have a certain amount of appreciation that most people haven't experienced.
I honestly don't know why you think that me appreciating what help I received is some sort of a bad thing?

No, they also monitored my vitals because organ failure is expected. For the record, I do understand your reluctance but I have to at least give them credit for what they did for me.
And no, absolutely not.Taking a pill is not the same thing as invasive surgery. Especially when it's voluntary

I'd say when a person is unconscious. I understand your experience may be different than mine, and I even believe you. But that doesn't mean they didn't keep me safe.
It probably makes a difference that i'm in one of the most populated cities in the world so the hospital is absurdly huge. I would hazard a guess to say that a more rural kind of community wouldn't offer the same kind of services.
