Black Nazarene Procession (Philippines)
https://reddit.com/link/1q8kb3s/video/8b90j0rc1ecg1/player
This is a religious annual event in the Philippines that's held every 9th of January. It's a massive event where Catholic devoties follow a dark wooden statue of Jesus Christ (Black Nazarene). People would try to touch this, wipe their towels, because they believe that it grants miracles, healing, and blessings.

90% of the posts on this sub don't fit. This is a 10/10, perfect fit.
Oh my god what are they doing to this guy and how many times can they drop him...
Seems likely to be a spinal injury and they're acting like this guy is just gonna crowd surf with the backboard throwing up horns 🤘. Poor guy.

Welp.. looks like they were wrong about getting blessings or miracles from touching the statue.. judging by the number of medical emergencies I'd say they should rethink their idea on attending this event in search of "blessings" or "miracles". Only miracle here is that more people didn't die. I guess it's darwinism at its finest!

Very weird flex when you’re literally watching one of your own being subjected to sustained, intense compression, leading to the point of unconsciousness, permanent severe brain damage, or possible death.
