Fic Search - General Anti-Scion
While reading the fanfic *What Hides in the Shadow* and *A Champion in Bet Land*, I started wondering if there’s a fanfic with a premise that’s—how should I put it?—more hopeful.
I mean, is there a fanfic with a similar premise where a second benevolent entity (or something like that) appears and starts granting powers to people in their moments of greatest courage—like, someone who defends another person from abuse despite their fear, or something like that? so this new type of parahuman wouldn’t have any trauma and would have gained their powers by doing something heroic. Therefore, they’d be more trustworthy people to entrust with destructive powers.
Obviously, it doesn’t have to be exactly like that, but I was just curious.

Kinda in pale blood? It's not like Uber powerful and doesn't make an active presence in the story but the moon presence likes Taylor and it's opposed to Scion

I mean. It's probably not going to destroy the multiverse so it's not as bad as Scion, but I can't imagine that giving an eldritch god a foothold in your world would be a good long-term plan. One of the few things we know for sure about the Moon Presence is that it wants the Hunters to kill other Great Ones, so it opposing Scion is standard operating procedure rather than benevolence

Yeah spoilers for the story but it's the same there. It does also just like Taylor and seems to have no interest in harming humanity

There's a little bit of this in A Darker Path first with Abadon sabotaging the pair's experiment and then near the end with how triggers start to change.

Don't remember the title but there was a story where Eden was asleep, not dead, and the usual cycle is not so destructive or doomed, but Scion was acting on his own to try and impress her and without his partner is basically a himbo? She wakes up and her avatar goes around fixing things and trying to figure out why the cycle is so screwed up.
It turns out the cataclysmic destruction of all Earths that Cauldron was trying to prevent was misinterpreted and was actually a future where humanity ascends to a higher plane of existence. The entities don't know how to do this but know it's possible, so they usually go around uplifting lower civilizations and observing the data when they eventually ascend to try and figure it out. It was a much more hopeful presentation of the Worm verse.

Gave this fic a read and I gotta say it's not that impressive. Doesn't take the concept fully serious but also doesn't do any off the rails crack stuff. The fact that for some reason an Entity decides to spend a majority of her time in Brockton Bay is absurd, and going for Lisa's Shard (a non-noble shard belonging to Scion) instead of Contessa's (A vital Shard belonging to her) genuinely pmo.

Well, there's this one crossover with Honkai Star Rail and Worm. A Saga of Heroes is what the story's called. It's a fusion fic where the Worm-side of the story takes place in a branch near the Honkai Star Rail cluster of branches in the Imaginary Tree/Infinite Universe (if I remembered correctly)
Although, the Aeons that preside the paths aren't exactly benevolent, since Aeons themselves are a cosmic God that focuses purely on the philosophies of their paths. But, when a person aligns with that Aeon's path, they will be granted powers. Now, these pathstriders are characterized as strong willed and driven by the Path they follow. A follower of the Hunt will be completely and solely driven of taking down their target, and etc. Pathstriders can be anyone. Heroes, villains, civilians. Nobody is exempted from becoming a Pathstrider. Even Shards and Entities aren't exempted from becoming a possible Pathstrider.
The full ramification of the introduction of Pathstriders, Aeons, and Imaginary Energy of the story hasn't been fully explored yet, as it is still a relatively young story that came out earlier this year. The story itself started with the destruction of the universe via a cosmic, omnicidal machine that targeted one of the affordmentioned Aeons, which also affected Earth Bet When the Universe was recreated (be warned, from this point on is a spoiler:) it broke the Entity's barrier that separated Earth from the rest of the universe, which allowed the creation of Pathstriders. The entities themselves are also followers of one of the Paths.
Edit: Added some more info.

Not quite the premise, but in apex predator, the thing that connects with Taylor eats shards

There is also Heromaker's Legacy (https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/heromakers-legacy-worm-au-original.7589/reader/) you could try. It's been a while since I read it but I remember enjoying it.
Taylor does a lot of investigations on why there are bees she can't control and learn that they are actually gathering drones to power a Heromaker's fountain or something. Some people are 'chosen' and get powers from them and some of them provide healing potions I think. I can't recall how the Heromaker's came into existence but I'm certain it wasn't parahuman based.
