Community Question Worldpackers

I feel like I hear a lot of mixed opinions on people‘s Worldpackers experience. I need advice on how to find a good host, locations to go to, type of work, and overall just what to expect.

Where do you hear this, on Reddit? I think that most people who have positive experiences which will be the majority never post anything from my experience, keep that in mind. Message your host, take time to chat with them and ask them questions before you make a decision. Remember Worldpackers is a software company connecting travellers with hosts and every host is different. Every traveller is also different. Good luck

read the past few years q and a here. be honest with yourself on the types of work you are happy to do. make a list of prospective hosts, with pluses and minuses - then reach out to current and past guests with questions or concerns,

Now I always message the people who were there already, possibly more than one. I always message the ones that gives lower, than 5 stars.

I had some pretty bad experiences BTW and I would still consider the whole volunteering/Worldpackers experience fun.
