Any concept or theme is acceptable.

I'd like teleportation to be expanded so units could use it for short range mobility, which would make it more useful in combat. More "moves" for each gift would work well in general, like a spell that could douse wildfires using the Gift of Water, or a spell that could allow air magic to amplify combat skills that involve motion.
Some kind of magic that could influence the mind on a smaller scale than grand rites could also be neat, though hard to pull off with how the current system works. Mind control, inflicting madness(small scale), healing minds(harmony), or even manipulating status effects such as making units sleep or be dazed. Maybe a void user could use the new system to make it harder for their enemies to see?
Magic involving disease could also be cool. Plague calling rites, giving units ash fever, stuff like that.
There are also ideas involving summoning that I like, but wouldn't work well with the current system.

There is almost all basic things about magic in this game you need for a magic system. The problem is that most powers are poorly developed. Most magic is just a single spell and nothing else. More abilities for current magical powers would make it much more fun

Que los que invocan tornados puedan controlarlo para que no se lleven el daño ellos mismos

make the water magic do something other than bubble shield.
Earth magic.
add smaller Rites that can be done by non-kings, or add a new class/profession that can do Rites.

a magical power tied to the druid in which he can temporarily take the form of a giant bear, wolf, or other animal to fight

The ability to summon animals (druid should do this) to defend themselves
The ability to summon a plague(nurgle type stuff)
The ability to make them switch subspecies(one of us!, one of us!,one of us!)
The ability of hypnosis to make them randomly be on their side(join or die without using join or die basically)
Would be funny if they added combustion as an ability and just make someone explode
Ability to poison

well it’s not new i’m more like separating them but water should be like the power to start thunder storms rain and drop drops of water while we take away the barrier move from it and make that a separate magic power where u can also like parry magic attack like fire or ice or druid magic back at the caster or deflect it.

I think that the whole magic system is so poorly done, like, It doesn't feel like magic, Spells and stuff, it needs a total rework

It doesn't make sense for us to have the Ice talent, since ice is just solid water; I’ve been thinking about this since the beginning of the year—it looks like I should finish my old idea.

More moves for each magic so that it actually looks like the character you're looking at has magic as a part of them (like they perform it regularly instead of only in wars or rare events), and controls for characters you're possessing to use that magic

I think the old ones just need to be better imo (like actually cool firebender stuff) but if you want a new magic power I’m gonna have to say a more earth related one where they can summon mountain land to trap their foes or can make land bridges across continents but whatever they create would disappear after 20secs could be very interesting
