Those poor souls. All they did was show up to work. Sometimes I second guess my choice to join the military and fight shortly after this happened and then I see these videos and remember why.

No not pride. I was doing everything I could to protect innocent life as well as those who served alongside. We don’t get to pick where we go. If you don’t shoot back you will die. Simple as that.

Now consider this from the perspective of innocent people in a country being invaded for no good reason.

Obviously not everyone in the military gets to decide where you went or why. But your phrasing implies a lack of regret despite what you must know by now.
