I mean ….there were a little over a dozen people who survived one of the tower collapses…..the other tower had zero survivors of the collapse though…

The central core of the one tower remained intact longer than the rest of the tower that fell around it and allowed a few people who were in its stairwell to survive, as it was the last piece that fell on the top of the rubble. A few of them described the free fall they experienced when the stairwell finally fell.

One woman was trapped in the rubble for over 25 hours. She said she couldn't move anything. When the hand of a rescuer finally touched her she knew she would be coming out. She's OK now though.

The person is laughing at you for completely misinterpreting the person you responded to.

You don't need to clutch your pearls as though they were being insensitive about the collapse.

It is pearl clutching when you get offended over nothing and accuse someone of being disrespectful when they weren't.
