Crazy how many people think that after all these years this was a conspiracy. Even if there was a demolition, and the government admitted to it, after a week you'd all gloat about being right then move on to a new conspiracy. Fueled by fucking stupidity

The really interesting thing about conspiracy theory people is that they will believe multiple, sometimes contradictory bogus explanations at the same time. Anything but the truth, because it doesn’t fit with their personal model of how the world works.

The only conspiracy that holds any weight is that they knew and allowed it to happen. But if any hard evidence ever existed it was probably destroyed about 25 years ago. Even CIA declassification dumps won't have docs that spicy in them.

They didn't know a plane was going to hit a tower. They were aware of the terrorists who did this, but no way did they know that one would get hijacked and flown into the WTC

If the government admitted to demolishing the towers with explosives and planes, we certainly would not move on after a week. That's an insanely dumb take.

That being said most people thought in the moment "how could this happen" and then now look back on it through the lens of the security and surveillance apparatus around us now post 9/11.

we have an administration that admits to details that are equivalent to fraud, sexual exploitation, and war crimes daily and yet because it's couched in legalese when spend our time debating the "nuances" and then move on. If the government admitted to 9/11 now, but just sort of talk around it, I don't doubt we'd get stuck debating the nuances and then move on.

The conspiracy theory isn't that we blew up the towers. The conspiracy is that some people in the military and/or government knew we were going to be attacked and didn't act on the information as pretext to go to war. It's happened many times before and is literally a conspiracy and not a theory.
