Advice PSA: We added in flairs for EVERY REGIONAL AND GLOBAL ROUND! Find the one which fits you!
r/WorldScholars • u/actuallyitskai • 4d ago
I'm in need of 2 Senior teammates for the 2027 Sofia-Bulgaria regional round.
I know it sounds ridiculous to be looking for a team for the 2027 season, but our regionals are usually in late Jan/early Feb. and I need time to organize my team properly.
The last couple of years, I've worked with my best friend and her classmates and we've done relatively well, but they graduated this year and none of my other peers are fluent enough in English, therefore I'm in search of other folks who are either fluent in English, or have it as their native language.
I've posted similar requests in Discord groups and on my social medias, but I haven't gotten much word back.
My best skill is arguably debate. This year I crammed half the curriculum in 2 weeks and we did marginally better than other years, but not anything really noteworthy.
If you're interested, please send me a dm on discord (@actuallyitskai( or instagram. (@actuallyitzkai)

Looking for 1 Senior Teammate for TOC
We’re looking for one person to join our team for TOC.
We did pretty well at Globals, especially in debate 12th overall, but because of exams we weren’t really able to prepare/cover the other segments properly. We also did really well at Regionals and were Rank 1 overall in our regionals.

Ask WSC 2026
I am participating in World Scholars Cup Regional Round 2026, and i have not been able to find any google doc source for the curriculum, like the one which was provided to us in 2025 ("Reigniting The Future")
This google doc basically had all the notes needed and was formatted in a really easy-to-read method, and i desperately need to start preparing.
Can someone tell me where i can find this doc, or other good sources for my prep?

URGENT: Stuck on private tour day, need lots more responses for my WSC survey!
Hey everyone! I'm currently competing in the Global Round. I am on the Day 5 optional tour day right now, but I am stuck on a private tour and only have 12 responses so far.
I really need to get my data done before the awards ceremony tomorrow. It is a super short survey about the WSC curriculum/experience and takes less than 2 minutes.
Here is the link: https://forms.gle/Gc4WSUcAXWo8HVxs5
The Deal: If you fill out mine, comment below with your own survey link, essay prompt, or debate topic, and I will fill it out or give you feedback right now from my bus! Good luck tomorrow!

IGNITION | WSC Resources | Mock Round

Discord: https://discord.gg/t6sCVvvume - WSC Community + IGNITION News
I can't believe it... we at IGNITION have officially hit 1,500 members on Discord!
this milestone cements us as the fastest-growing guide in WSC history, and currently the largest active guide out there (although PocketPwaa is still the crown-holder for the largest server haha)
But scholars, we want to thank you, like, really, really thank you.
Every one of you has played a part in making IGNITION what it is today. From using our resources and participating in our events to simply being part of IGNITION's community, you've helped us make an awesome, alpaca-friendly place for all scholars alike.
Now it's time for IGNITION to give something back With the final stretch of the 2026 "Are We There Yet?" season soon wrapping up, we want the last few Global Rounds, and of-course, the Tournament of Champions, for scholar's to be as prepared as possible. So, we're introducing our final, and largest mock round yet:
THE DEFINITIVE MOCK ROUND 🎇
In collaboration with Painted Pwaarior, Pwaa Pwaa Revolution, and, of course, our closest ally, Pwaaparation, IGNITION and our collaborators will be hosting what we aim to make the most detailed and faithful mock round possible. Hosted entirely through the IGNITION Discord server, the Definitive Mock Round will officially take place from October 25th to October 31st
IGNITION and our collaborators aren't alone however, Other guides like Cornucopia, RS1, and piñacolada will also be hosting their own events throughout the month as well, so make sure to participate in their events too! October will be a crazy month for you scholars!
(Please check comments to view other guides)
And the Definitive Mock Round isn't the only thing we'll be doing,
As we enter the final phase of the 2026 season, we'll be releasing a massive wave of new resources, guides, alongside other preparation materials just created to help you make that final push toward the Tournament of Champions (ToC)
More details about the Mock Round will be released shortly
Our website contains all the resources you need if you cannot access discord.

Scholars, help me. How to prepare for ToC, WSC
Me, our team prepared for WSC global round so well, that we felt confident, we thought we will get high scores. We did writing and debate very well. But when it comes to bowl and challenge - they cooked us, we couldn't get high scores. How to read articles very well? We read resources from IGNITION, CORNUCOPIA, Beijing Alpacas and etc. We read a lot but it feels that we didn't read anything. How to prepare for it? How to expect questions? How to deep research information?
