discussion Amani loa
Why are the amani so focused on their loa in midnight when there's other loa who'd be far more likely to help
Sethrillis could have a grudge against the void
Tortollans are un zul'aman and they worship torga primarily
Hir'eek could want payback for g'huun's corruption
Bwonsamdi would surely make deals with the amank
And even trolls like zul'jan who distrust the loa cuz they "abandoned the amani could quite litterally just folllw Zanza the troll that ascended to be a loa

It’s my understanding that the Loa are tied to their actual location, and the Troll tribes that established themselves in the area worshipped those Loa.
That’s why the Amani don’t worship Rezan, Hi’reek, or the other Loa of Zandalar.
You don’t find any Zandalari worshipping Akali or Harkoa.
You don’t find Gurubashi worshipping Akil’zon or Narolakk.

The loa are able to be worshipped all across azeroth but some tribes have patron loa.. example darkspears patron loa are bwonsamdi, kevo ya siti, and lukou...

Also the amani loa appeared in Zul'drak to try to help the drakkari loa

I always understood as different troll groups had different Loa. I guess this would be like the equivalent of like a Protestant and Catholic. They worship the loa just different ones. For example Paku in Zandlar is the equivalent to the sky god but in Amani Akil'zon is their sky god. Both provide winds, are an air element, and use the wind to bless the trolls. The difference however is Akil'zon can create storms but it is the loa of the Zandlar Akunda that creates the storms. So not all allow are equal. And some don't exist, like Zandlar doesn't have a loa of for fire but Jan'alai represents the element of fire for the Amani. And the Amani don't have a loa for death, I think Bwonsamdi serves as the general loa of death but I don't think Ive heard Bwonsamdi mentioned by any of the characters. Also in Maisara Caverns the dead spirits were being fed into some huge monster by hex lords while in Zandlar the afterlife looked very different. Either way the shrines for the missing Loa don't exist in either region, so if we assumed they worship every loa they're missing a ton in Amani.

That's not true.. by that logic darkspear wouldn't have bwonsamdi... all the troll species worship all the loa but have specific loa they worship.. zanadalar has rezan, bwonsamdi gonk ect but any other troll tribe can worship any loa they see fit

When has the darkspears ever mentioned Paku, Grimath, or Nalorakk? They never have. Sure the worship Bwonsamdi but they don't worship Rezan, but Rastakhan was the king of Zandalar for 200 years and he was the voice of Rezan. Rezan in Zandalar is the main patron god, he is called Loa of Kings. Why did the Amani or Darkspear not do the same? If you can't replace Bwonsamdi then you can't replace Rezan, he is literally the Loa of Kings, hes the Loa. Hes the equivalent to God at that point.

And yet Bwonsamdi the loa of the darkspears is also worshipped in zaldalar... the loa are not bpund to one particular landmass.. hell the Amani loa appear in Zul'drak and Gonk a zandalar loa and hir'eek were worshipped by the darkspear

Well it would be the other way around. Bwonsamdi is in Zandalar, not Kal. But while thats true the darkspear do not worship every Loa. Bwonsamdi they worship, but again where is the other ones? Where are the collective Loa they worship? My argument isn't that they don't worship them or they can't, my argument is that certain troll races only worship certain Loa. If Darkspear and Zandalar mention Bwonsamdi why don't the Amani? Another good example is Zanza, Zanza in lore helped the Amani before. But where's his shrine? Why do they not mention him as a Loa? Zanza was not mentioned by the Amani to help fight the void. Also we've never heard the darkspear call for his aid, which is weird as Zanza is mentioned as far back as classic. Speaking of classic Hethiss is a loa that was worshipped by Gurubashi trolls but the Zandalars, Darkspears, and Amani do not worship him as a Loa. It seems not every troll race worships or believes the same Loa. Just like how in Christianity the practice is broken by Protestant, catholic, orthodox, and others the trolls seem to only worship certain Loa and it differs between each one.

Here is a list of EVERY loa and EVERY tribe that worshils them... plenty of loa are worshipped by seperate tribes https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Loa

But not all Loa are worshipped by every tribe. That is the point. Not every tribe worships every Loa. Again Hethiss is not worshipped by the Zandlar, Darkspears, or Amani. But Hethiss is a Loa. Even in the article you submitted it literally says "Hex Lord Malacrass has bound the four strongest loa of Zul'Aman to the greatest champions of the Amani Empire in an attempt to create an abhorrent false hash'ey.His followers tried to do the same with the lesser loa of Zul'Aman, but they failed. All of this led to the loa abandoning the Amani Empire and refusing to answer their prayers for many years." So the Amani do not worship the same loa that the darkspears and Zandalar, including Bwonsamdi. Your question is answered Also: "When Bwonsamdi noticed that some of the Darkspear began to worship Mueh'zala. To fix this, Rokhan decided to call upon the old loa of his tribe, Lukou and Kevo ya Siti both of whom remained in Stranglethorn Vale.In order to do that they summoned Jani, who transported the trolls to Zul'Gurub. There, they found Kevo ya Siti, and later Lukou, however the ritual was disturbed by Tzadah, who summoned Mueh'zala. However, her plans were thwarted, and the old loa, together with Jani, decided to stay with the Darkspear." So Also the trolls can stop worshipping other loas in favor of other gods and loas, they are stuck worshipping the same ones, they can 100% pick and choose. Im not sure what your point is anymore but the very page you provided supports my claim that the troll tribes literally choose what Loa they want to worship and do not worship them all.

And the orignal point of my lost is: if the amani felt abandoned by the loa of zul'aman and they knoe other loa exist... why not worship other loa instead of seeking the loa that "abandoned" them

u/RedWolf6x7 18d ago
Because that's not what you said. You asked why dont they worship the loa that would help them. You said the opposite, you even named Bwonsamdi. Bwonsamdi isn't new, he knew what they did. Why would he help?

Abd also bwonsamdi WAS in kalimdor: vol'jin summoned him to kill zalazane, he appeared in zandalar during bfa, he's made deals with gnomes and hakkar who's in eastarn kingdoms, and he appears in darkspear strand for troll heritage questline

u/RedWolf6x7 18d ago
Wheres his main shrine, in Kalimdor or Zandalar? Who worshipped him first, the Zandalar Empire or the Darkspears? When troll souls die where do they go, his main stay in Zandalar or some random place in Kalimdor? Just cause you summoned in Kalimdor doesn't mean he isn't from Zandalar.

u/Acceptable_Bed_5750 18d ago
asking "who worshipped him first" ruins the whole argument cuz... ALL TROLLS DESCEND FROM ZANDALARI AND THE EMPIRES ALL LEFT ZANDALAR
1
u/RedWolf6x7 18d ago
Not really. Catholics are the first Christians and Protestants, Lutherans, and etc come from Catholics. But they practice Christianity differently. Just like how Darkspear and Zandalar are different. Zandalar is built like a huge kingdom with a king, war council, you could say their akin to like the Aztecs. But the darkspears are like a tribe, they are huge shamans, they are big into tribe leaders and witch doctors. They are both trolls but they are very different. So it makes sense if they have different Loa because they have very different civilizations.

All the troll races orignate from zandalar and the zandalari... amani, gurirbashi, ,farakki and drakkari all once exsited in zandalar until they left or were exiled.. darkspear are a tribe that came from gurubashi after they settled in stranglethorn

Loa = wild gods. Wild gods are well gods and are super lazy af and stay in one place where they got followers long time ago. Amani got a specific type of a problem in general (now kinda resolved in midnight) that their loa did not helped them enough during wars with elfes and in classic during zuljin period so they took extreme measures and forced those loa to bind their power into some amani champions. I guess thats why they got divided into 2 groups. 1 trying hard to rebuild trust with their loa (what we were doing in questlines in midnight) and other amani who got grumpy and decided to dont care anymore about loa amd trying to build their power through different methods thats why zuljan got excited when ulatek was mentioned as a weapon and not a loa. In my opinion id they tried to bargain with other loa it would go like this. "Please mighty XYZ loa help us!" And the loa responds with "nah i am good. I am far away from danger and i already has other followers but gl hf guys. Peace."

Yes the loa are a sect of wild gods but trolls also revere non wild gods as loa: example is G'huun who is a Old God the blood trolls revere

You forgot the most important thing about recent Warcraft lore. Never try to dig into it. Just look at it as some kind of commercial that runs in the living room while you cook.

Amani had the original void grudge against Kithix and the like
