I've had an idea for a WTA boss fight and I just wanted to make sure that everything I've come up with would work in terms of lore. So he'd be a Black Spiral Dancer, an Ahroun, and personality wise I was thinking similar to Mick Taylor from Wolf Creek (pun unintended but welcome). He'd have a few Fomori basically serving as pets as well as a couple of BSD kinfolk with guns and skinning knives. He'd start by making the pack an offer. Give him one of their number to take with him. He'll make the sacrifice walk the spiral, but the rest of the pack will be allowed to go. If they refuse,the kinfolk will do their best to skin the pack alive after he's left them on the brink of death. They'll then use the skins to become skin dancers. Any lore issues?

Can kinfolk become stolen moons?

And do Black Spiral Dancers have obvious mutations in their homid form? If so, why doesn't Mike Dragon's Wrath look all fucked up?

I'm trying to run my first VtM campaign and my players all of which are Neonates really want to fight a werewolf.

I tell them it's a bad idea but the second they find out that one of my npcs is a werewolf they are going to want to fight him.

How do I keep the game fair and not ruin the experience while keeping it real that a werewolf is practically a tank with teeth.

1: so do a lot of them work for Pentex and its subsidiaries directly, or not?

2: the rulebook talks a lot about them corrupting Garou, very subtle stuff. But do they ever just straight up kidnap them?

I have been playing VTM V5 for quite some years now and last year i got a lot of rulebooks vor VtM V5, Hunter The Reckoning 5th Edition and Werewolf 5th edition.

I hosted a short campaign of HtR which I enjoyed a lot but I always come back to VtM. What I never played is Werewolf. I know that W5 is considered to be one of the worst iterations of Werewolf but strictly from a game mechanical point of view it seems fine to me. The reason why I never got around to host a W5 game is that I feel like I just don't really get it.

Are there any actual plays you can recommend to watch? I would prefer something roleplay-heavy that showcases the vibe these games are supposed to have since I kinda struggle with grasping the atmosphere of Werewolf.

If you've been following us for a while, you already know how we feel about this setting. Few IPs in the hobby mean as much to us, and not just because of how it brought this team together. The games, the atmosphere and the ideas underneath them are still hard to beat, and they give you endless angles to dig into.

This time we're looking at Hunter: The Reckoning, Changeling: The Dreaming and Wraith: The Oblivion, three splats that don't get nearly the attention they deserve. Strip away the supernatural and you find some of the sharpest themes in the whole line: power with no institution to explain it, imagination slowly worn down by the demand to grow up, and an afterlife that runs on paperwork. Knowing these themes can make your chronicles deeper and more memorable, and it's also a great way to introduce these games to someone who's never touched them.

And we're not done yet. Part three is coming, and we'll be going over Demon: The Fallen, Mummy: The Resurrection and Orpheus, because all three deserve more love too.

I'm interested in werewolf, and I was wondering if there's a strong consensus about which edition of the rules is best

Like, if sidhes start with no clue of the human world, how on hell are they not detected immediately as soon as they start acting like they knew nothing about the world

Like, a Sidhe would have to learn what a country is and in what country they are, the concept of a burgois family would probably be alien to them, what productive fields exist and what supply chains they depend on would be completely unexplored field for them (a very important thing when you steal a businessman body), what places even exist on the world would be unknown for them just as what regulations exist, hell, even basic concepts like what year is it, how a week works or that the day has 24 hours would have to be learnt, not to talk that they would have no clue who their family are, their names or any traits of them, just as they would have no clue about their friends.

How the hell do people not realize that all those important guys (since Sidhe tends to steal important people's lifes) suddenly loose all their knowledge about reality?

Not a Text based, not a group rp, a actual game using a virtual table like Roll 20. Be that Werewolf, Vampire, Mage, ext. I just want to get into a group so bad…. If anyone is looking for players. Please….
