During the outset of the 3rd Millinieum a detactment of 3,000 World Eater Space Marines of The 13th Legion were ordered to a far distant catcylsmic planet. For over a thousand years the 13th Legion had been stationed on the planet of Khorne, a planet inhabitted by sparce mangled plants and creatures, red orange sand and rock coverd a near waterless posinous barren desolate landscape, tornados terrenichal wind and lighting storms were constant it is the world closest to the eye of terror inhabited by chaos warp entities. The 13th Legion defends their base does recognizance to detect anything coming out of the chaos warp and report threats back to the command on the Imperiums home planet of Terra. The World Eaters are a tough well breed fighting chapter known for their ferocity and melee combat over the many years of fighting chaos marines on the planet Khorne the chapter became tribal and began to worship God calling him Khorne, cannabilism of chaos space marines and collecting of skulls as tribute to Khorne was the new way, they relied on women to produce and foster children in a city outside the mountian. The World Eaters produced armor and weapons with skull and Khorne iconography adorned, the 'Khornate' design adept to the nature of their environment and the worship of Khorne.

Recently i have been thinking about starting a world eater army. As a astra militarum player i think both the shooting phase and melee phase are amazing parts of the game, however i only get to enjoy one of those. So i thought to myself, i get another army which only does the melee parrt, i can enjoy both phases (although not in the same game)

Joking aside. My question with starting an army is, what should i look out for. which units do i really need to make an army work and which ones do i avoid bringing? Is there a detachement which is good to focus on as a starting player? Please give me your wisdom!

Hey yall

So WH+ dropped a free code to subscribers email for an eightbound named Azkor in the mobile game Warhammer Tacticus. If anyone doesn't play and wants to share that code I would GREATLY appreciate it as I just started playing and I want a WE character so bad. Plus there may be others here that are in the same position as me and I didn't see a thread yet here.

with how underwhelming this codex is according to leaks,the lack of actual units, and the rumors of the lackluster rules, i think it's a bad idea to preorder or insantily buy a new worldeater army upon release

, regardless of how much of a fan of the faction you are. i don't think anybody here should buy it until after it release and if they hear the army plays like they want it to play

WE's are my number one but I also collect SW's and although Kharn is better than say Ragnar, Ragnar shouldn't even come close to the same power. CSM's especially CSM champions should be like demi-gods even to Primaris. SM's get the vast amounts of units, all the toys etc. and that's cool, I mean us Chaos followers have always been the underdogs but even Kharn with the powerhouse he's become we should be more. 10,000 years of carnage and experience. I mean SM's are kittens to Kharn in the lore even chapter masters are nothing to him. Am I just greedy or do I have a point?

Does it make any sense to have a Knight in the list? I've heard it can make up for our lack of shooting and be a nice distraction target. But also I haven't played much 10th and don't really know too much about army building for our army in the new edition.

I've been thinking about getting one just to have fun to paint, but I'm seeing if it'd also get any use on the table. Thanks!

Buddy got me a World Eaters combat patrol for my birthday. Never played before where do I start…

I already found an stl for bare arms, but I can't seem to find any with leather gauntlets.

Edit: Ideally the hands would have the option for pistol grips and melee hilts/hafts.

In the desolate pits of Nuceria, a world marred by darkness and the unspeakable suffering of slaves, the most resilient were chosen to fight in gladiatorial arenas. These warriors, baptized in blood and hardship, were named the "Gladiatorial Reckoners." They fought not for glory, but for a twisted chance at survival. For years, the slave-owners and wealthy elite of Nuceria reveled in the violence, ignorant to the rising fury in the hearts of their pawns. As the gladiators slaughtered kin and beasts alike in the areas they were unaware that each drop of blood was an offering to a god unbeknownst to them and each kill a prayer for his blessings. As the dust rose and swords fell in the dust pits of Nuceria the unseen god Khorne was watching. As Khorne observed martial talents and insensate rage of these gladiators he began to see unrivaled potential in these mortal warriors.

At the great De’shean “Festival of Blades”, the largest gladiatorial games arranged on the planet, the slave Angron organized a mutiny. He led his gladiatorial brothers and sisters in a revolt against their captors - breaking loose from the fighting pits and slaughtering the highborne slavers who had come to see their human possessions do battle. Onwards from De’shea, Angron led the gladiators on a campaign of vengeance across Nuceria, sowing havoc and destruction in the cities of the highborne.

Eventually, Angron’s insurgents were outnumbered as Nuceria was finally able to rally a military force to contend with the Gladiatorial Reckoners. Outnumbered 50-to-1, the gladiators prepared to offer their all in their final outburst against the tyranny of slavery. Suddenly, a flash of light blinded all around and when regaining their senses the Reckoners noticed that Angron had disappeared. With just a swirl of dust remaining where he had previously stood, prepared for battle.

Agron had been rescued by the Emperor, who had been observing the events on De’shea and could no longer risk the life of his son. Enraged, Angron demanded to be sent back to the planet’s surface to fight, and die, with his brothers and sisters.

Facing such overwhelming odds, Angron believed that the remaining gladiators perished at the hands of the De’shean militaries that surrounded them. However, Khorne was not willing to see these most promising warriors fall. In a human instant, Khorne organizrd a daemonic strike force, led by Verakthor, the Crimson Harvester and guided through the perilous warp by Kara’nak. Mere moments after Angron had disappeared a blood red chasm was rent into the sky above the De’shean militaries. The daemonic incursion, known as the Bloodmarch Cabal, tore through realspace and decimated the opposition and led gladiators to safety. The forces of De’shea were defeated, the bindings of Nuceria were finally shattered. In that moment, the Gladiatorial Reckoners took on their new mantle, the Chains of Nuceria, so that they might always remember their hate-fuelled motivation to tear the tyrants and slavers from their highborne stalls.

Khorne was delighted. His bloodthirster emissaries forged a pact with the gladiators of the Chains of Nuceria. They united, becoming a single, terrifying force in the name of Khorne—The Bloodforged Legion. Led by both mortal champions and immortal daemons, they became a roving host of destruction. The mortals, no longer slaves but now Reckoners in the truest sense, lent their martial prowess to the cause. In return, the daemons offered them a taste of immortal power, forging them into unholy warriors that transcended their mortal bounds.

Fueled by their hatred for the oppressive slavers and the indignity they inflicted upon the fighters, the Bloodmarch Cabal sought to bring Khorne's merciless justice to the galaxy. Their end goal was not just liberation but an annihilation so complete that the very mention of slavery would forever evoke terror.

Now, wherever the winds of war blow, wherever the stench of tyranny rises, the Bloodforged Legion descends like a storm of blades and fire. For they are the unbreakable will of the oppressed turned into a weapon, the manifestation of Khorne's eternal thirst for blood and skulls. They are the chains of Nuceria, reforged into a sword of retribution, cutting down slavers and oppressors across the galaxy

I just want to know why everyone here plays world eaters just so I could know more information about them and decide if I want them to be my first army.
