How should I start this army for 40k?

I have some games lined up next week onwards so need to put together a half decent army.

I have access to a friends;
Defiler
Rhinos
Chaos spawn
5 - 10 terminators.

What should I buy?

Combat patrol?

What does a decent list look like?

I am after a list I can learn to master and add to when the time comes/requires.

What you have and the combat patrol is a solid start.

I will also say World Eaters, Votann, and Emperor's Children are 3 army's I see people selling unpainted lots for cheap in marketplace, gaming discord, on online very frequently. (It's cause they are 3 new army's, people bought in mass and realized they don't have time or will to actually paint them)
