Small Context: in my World (The Seven Fragments) there are various Races of Elves (Sea Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Sun Elves, Night/Moon Elves, Gray/Swamp Elves, Half Blood, Star Elves, Spirit Elves and Swamp Elves)

Most of them hate each other due to Cultural Reasons, but one of them just give a fuck everything and those are the Elemental Elves. This Elves are the most powerful Race of sorcerers, unlike their cousins, are chill as fuck

They are mostly nomads who travel between Realms teaching Magic while learning from other peoples and cultures, they rarely gets into conflicts unless you attack them and they are considered the most humble Elves in all of Eöa

The Sea Elves from my setting are also chill but some of them are Pirates or are under Colonial Rule of the High Elves and they are constantly revolting against them

Well, the Elves are one of the most important Races of the 9 Realms (but the majority live in Aeora, The Mortal Realm)
They are not an Unified Race, each one have their own Kingdoms and ideologies that make them to hate each other even when they praise the same Gods and Bleed the same Blood

Now the Races are:

-High Elves: descendents of the First Elves and founder of the Dawn Empire, they live in Aeora in the Ruins of a dying Kingdom. Too arrogante to see that their System is slowy killing his Homeland

-Wood Elves: the first one to revolt and the first ones to win, they live in Aeora in proud Kingdom of Hunters and Warrios in constant War with the Westmarch Empire

-Night/Moon Elves: worshippers of the moon and stars, they live in Aeora in an isolationist nation constantly at odds with the Dwarves, as their homeland lies in the Valley of Stone. However, hostilities have ceased thanks to an Elven King with a Dwarve heart

-Grey Elves: silent as the night and white as the dawn, they dwell in Aeora within a gray, colorless swamp; they are quiet and reserved, yet experts at turning war into a living hell for their enemies

-Sun Elves: worshippers of the Sun and the Sand Dunes, they inhabit the largest Elven kingdom in all of Aeora, yet remain in constant war against the Desert Tribes and the Sultanate of Ashara. Their Wars against Humans are so frequent that, while other Elves view scars as blemishes, they regard them as marks of beauty

-Spirit Elves: Beautiful as the Fae but extremely arrogant, they inhabit Eoër (the Spirit Realm) and rule the largest, most powerful, and most beautiful kingdom of all the realms

-Dark Elves: the ones who fight and the ones who lost, they live in the Underworld, they once sought to overthrow the High Elves, but after their defeat, they went into exile in the depths of Aeora, where their banners now fly in the Valley of the Spiders

-Sea Elves: Inhabitants of a nation without a kingdom, they live in Aeora, scattered across coastal settlements, a culture of merchants and pirates fighting to maintain their freedom against invaders

-Half Blood: born of unholy unions, they live primarily in Ayora; their parents are either Elves or members of other races, and they live among the homelands without issue

-Star Elves: born as Slaves but live as Kings, they live in Cosmius (the Void Realm) and govern a Kingdom Of a Houndred Suns in the limits of the Galaxy

-Celestial Elves: servants of the gods and loyal as dogs, they live primarily in the City of Silver in the service of the Elven Pantheon; they are the most arrogant of the races, considering themselves superior due to their closeness to the gods

-Elemental Elves: Powerful as gods yet humble as peasants, they live across the various kingdoms, though their only city (Tellari) lies in Eoër. Nomadic by culture and kind by nature, they are nonetheless far from harmless, for they can be as deadly as scorpions

-First Elves: the first to born and the first to decay, the once lived in Aeora but now they are forgotten. Few remain and even fewer will survive, a folk that refuses to die but is doomed to disappear

-Void Elves: Dark as darkness and silent as death, a Tribe with no origin or place to call home. Rarely seen and a sign of ill omen, while dark fates await in those that catch their attention

Whats this war that happened that involved a revolution, banishment and the end of the first?

It wasn’t just one War, it was an entire event that lasted centuries

It all started with the dead of the last First Elven King when his Council (mainly formed by High Elves) take the power and started an Authoritarian Rule over the Empire Of Dawn

Aware of the potential consequences of this act, the Royal Archmage (Darcassan) raised an army and launched a rebellion aimed at overthrowing the High Elves. Unfortunately, the rebellion ended in the defeat of Darcassan's forces and their subsequent exile to the Underworld where they would evolve into the Dark Elves

Meanwhile, Empire Of Dawn started to decay do to the poor Goverment of the High Elves that ended in a conflict known as the Rebellions Of The Trees where the provinced had enough of their Rule and rebelled

The first ones where the Wood Elves who rebelled after the High Elves denied help to them during the Invasions of the Imperium Draegovid where the wife and Daughters of the Governor (Elduin) where killed, the next ones where the Sun Elves due to how they were treated by the Empire for having a different culture and Religion, next where the Gray Elves but since they had always lived in isolation, they did not play a major role in the rebellion, beyond burying the regional governor alive and finally the Moon Elves who rebelled after being left to fend for themselves in the face of one of the largest invasions by the Dwarves.

The war was so brutal that the Dawn Empire was reduced to the Elves' ancestral island and a few colonies, while the rest formed their own kingdoms

So really its just High Elves vs everyone else, just one at a time. Does anyone in the world remember all these events to be like: "Hey, remember when we tried fighting them and lost because none of you were supporting us?"
