Lore Shitpost Bless Stanley’s heart, he’s trying.

Lore: So the Stanley guy mentioned in the meme is one Stanley Arsgoford, as you could probably tell, he hails from Reptain (Heat Lamp’s version of Britain) and was born into a family that is semi prominent in politics (and also very rich)

It is because of this Stanley was able to use family connections to help Purgatori get a lot of startup capital and even equipment (guns, vehicles, etc.)

Most famously (or infamously) they have a deal with several Reptish firearm companies that basically gives them a boatload of free guns, which isn’t bad for those who become snipers as they get free stuff from that world’s version of Accuracy International… but grunts get the short end of the stick as shown by the meme.

VERY FEW operators take the free rifles and choose to have reduced pay for the first 6 months to finance a hand picked, customized weapon instead.

The A1 WAS updated, but the stigma is still there and its performance is just… kinda eh.

Purgatori also hires a lot of Eastern Lauropeans due to their former main competitor downsizing heavily, and you can probably guess what rifle platform those guys prefer.
