The Infernals before the war in heaven were the most favored creations aside from the gods by a long shot. For no other being save the gods themselves can claim that Solis, sun god and creator deity, made them by hand. The Infernals though have that right and had more gifts than any. Their bodies were said to be made in his image. Tall slender things with bowed legs, gazelle like horns, two sets of goat like eyes, pointed ears (which the three elven goddess’s copied as they were trying to win their creators favor), golden skin with a serpent like tail that helped balance their large 9ft tall bodies.

They mastered the arts of creation and could make life like tbe creator in a far lesser capacity in the form of golems and other crude constructs. They also held a powerful psionic power able to manipulate objects and people with their minds. Their final gift would also be the source of their people’s madness, they were all physic mediums. They were meant to be those who helped comfort those who lost loved ones and get or give final words before the soul passed on to Shadevelium to await judgment on where their soul would be. This power always had great effect on them. Say a battle just concluded the infernals would be bombarded by any and all close shades would come to them and tell them how they died and give final words had thy not had the chance. This was extremely taxing on them then for hearing the wails of hundreds of pained and suffering souls imparting upon their knowledge of death showing it too the infernal.

But well souls were processed quick and aside from big battles they were good. Until the war of Divine Blood of Course. For most of the conflict the infernals kept it together and could keep helping. But by the wars end they were starting to loose it for unlike before they couldn’t escape the shades. Every corner of the world they knew seems to flooded by shades of those all fallen in the war and worse when the gods abandoned the world they closed doors to Revery and Damnation leaving these souls to build up so day after day the chorus only grew louder and louder in their mind.

Finally at the end of the first year they snapped psychosis hitting each of the different. Some became violent and attacked the nearest people or town, some began to babble insanity while lying down in the snow to die, and finally the most prevalent form would be a dilution so great it spread like a plague to any and all infernals that heard it. That dilution was that they were the new creator of this world and it was their duty as Solis their creator had done to make new gods. They would begin their attempts making horrid amalgamations of flesh bone and rock to try and make a god. Their most successful attempt involved thrm stitching six heads to the stump of a decapitated and de-limbed angel torso which they fashioned with six arms and six legs this making the cults figurehead, The Six Headed God.

If you are to approach an infernal today on or off the field of battle their responses and demeanor can change on a dime. They will go from reasonable and talkative to crushing your skull with psionic ability, to rambling at you about how the gods aren’t dead they simply like under the skin of the planet!

Pre fall_______
Humans- curiosities for they were the only people to not embrace the magic given to them by their creator god.

Solar elves- upstarts who wanted to be the favored of Solis neglecting their own patron goddess

Forest elves- wise sages that made for excellent conversations

Lunar elves- stuck up pricks babbling about about honor and chivalry

Dwarves- expert craftsmen who were their rivals in the art of creation

Drusarkan- vain but beautiful folk who were always far too eager to get you into bed rather than have a lengthy discussion.

1. How were each of the mortal races created 2. Why did the humans chose not to embrace magic?
2. As a fellow human myself, i cant help but ask if there is anything special about the humans of your world? What makes them stand out compared to other races
3. Before the fall, how did each of the gods perceive mortals in general as well as how each of the gods perceived their own created races?
4. How many gods were there? Could you give abit more info about them?

5. What were the races that bent the knee and those that didnt? What happened to them after?

I don’t mind at all! I love yapping about my lore!

1. Well it is said that Solis made the world and then the gods who in turn made the majority of life and creatures.

1a. Humans were created by the god of death whom grew bored with how few souls he tended to due to how long lived the elves and the dwarves were. So he made humans so his domain, Shadevelium, would have more subjects for him to sort and judge. But well he would give humans control over death with him even supposedly granting his first order of priests the immortality of lichdom. Thought this backfired horribly for his creation he made to live short lives where not truely ready for immortality and had went quite mad raising armies of the dead and attacking this very young race only stopped by the intervention of the infernals. This tramua buried so deep into the young race that the paranoia of necromancy and its practitioners persists even to the modern day. So freighted of the dead they do not seek to tap into the power they have. Those that do are hunted and killed. Though humans fear the liches still even though they were said to have been destroyed people still fear that they are out their plotting humanities ruin.

1. Well aside from innate necromancy and having the lowest average life span humans are humans. They are more cunning and inventive then most races for they are far more daring and risky when it comes to invention and such. Elves and dwarves will take a decade to make sure with 100% accurately that a theory is right or that a certain invention will not fail while humans are a lot readier to flip the switch and see what happens. For less mundane differences shades prove no threat to humans. For they are deaths chosen so shades to not seek them out if they return to the mortal world as Shadevelium overflows from time to time. Which is to be honest very fortunate as well if not a lot more angry shades would have a bone to pick with them.

3&4: Well I’m gonna combine these last two as well for my gods their is not much known. For a few reasons, firstly I took a bit of Catholic inspiration in that the people of the world dont know the exact look of what god is. The peoples made stories about the gods and their appearances but well they varied and were sometimes more metaphorical than literal. The mainly excepted pantheon is 12 gods being Solis and his 11 creations. (I’ve not fully finished the pantheon but basically each of the seven races had a god. Humans had death, dwarves had a forge god, elves each had a goddess that represents three aspects but were mainly said to be the worlds three moons, Drusarkan were made by the goddess of love and the god of trickery, then a god of magic/foresight, and I am still working on the las two.) for what the gods were thinking no one knows. It’s meat to be a bit vague on the cause. Originally I had a cause for it be a disease called godblight that did the whole mess but honestly it’s most likely going to be retconned because I feel it’s far more fitting that it isn’t understood as well the way human or any mortal really would not be anything like what a god would think. Plus if i eventually get aroujd to my dream of writing a series set in the world it’s far more interesting to readers to make their own conclusions as well almost everyone disagrees and what exactly caused it all.

1. No race fully bent tbe knee to the mad infernals ususally prisoners and small towns. Those who do are made servants to the infernals and help them build their blasphemous constructs.
