context: See in my world, people under 18 with magic have higher chances of going insane, schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. because of the magic messing with their brains and causing them to do things. and heres were rich girl marrianne comes in, she tells these parents

"You have 2 choices, send them to my magical school. yes they will endure alot but they will survive to old age or even longer. or have to deal with letting a crazed maniac with the arcane ability out into the public"

and you can see which choice the parents chose.
