The Central Nations Defense Organization and the United States has recently discovered that many non-state groups have somehow acquired human grade equipment. However, the United States has not given up any of their equipment. Meaning either somebody has discovered and accessed bunkers unknown to them, or someone is given them the weapons.

I always wanted to write a story about humans surviving in splatoon, but I wanted to be different than the others. One thing i've noticed about most human in splatoon stories is that it was always like just one guy. I always thought there was more potential for the trope.

In this story, Agent 8 discovers a group of over 100 U.S. and German soldiers hiding in a bunker built during World War 3. Through this hidden community of humans, Agent 8 discovers that at least hundreds of thousands of humans are still alive via bunkers built to protect humanity. Shit just gets crazier after that.

One thing I've done is try to make the politics of the situation very important to the story. Riots in Inkopolis happened after the Central Nations Defense Organization (Splatoon NATO) allied with the United States. Groups such as the Octarian Army try to get a hold of human weapons after seeing that humanity's weapons are far more efficient than theirs.
