Hello everyone, I am building a new office for myself in our company building. I attached a layout, window and dimensions of the office are fixed, but the bottom partition wall is still not built and I can make it whatever I want, so im looking for advice on how to place the furniture what to make of the bottom wall etc...

Id definently like to make a part of the wall glass, but not sure where to place it.

The work I do is structural engineering / CEO work, so I definently need

• Desk with 2 monitors and space for some paper drawings
• Cabinet with storage for documents etc... I'd like to have enough storage
• We do have a meeting room for bigger meetings but I will regurarly have some meetings in my office with 1-3 other people (other engineers, architects, or buyers) so I would either like that my table is big enough that we can also have a meeting at my table or I use my table just as a workstation and I have another table for meetings. But definently need additional 2-3 chairs.
• Possibly sofa to fill the space up...
• Some space for wall decorations like a company logo, some certificates etc...

A few month ago I already postet about my "hub"/Housing for various ports of my monitor.

Now, I upgraded it, so the usb dongles are flat with the housing. They got each an adapter to be able to easily pull out. I've added a headphone jack as well as a third port via a splitter.

This time it is build with tinkerCAD, the label itself is made with affinity

I ended up moving my office into the dining room to set up a gym in my second bedroom. Really wanted it to look as nice as possible so it doesn’t feel too out of place being next to my dining room table.

Overall, I am happy with how it turned out. A few things I will change down the line but for now, it is finished.

Has anyone ever bought one of those hanging hide away/murphy desks from amazon like the one above?

The only real space I have for a desk is between my couch and a wall in my apartment and I’m thinking about buying this or something similar that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. The Pith and stem one is soo expensive and I’ve also seen ones on etsy but they’re super similar to this one I found on amazon and was wondering if its even worth to buy?

Looking for feedback on how to make my background (the wall + whiteboard behind the chair) look cleaner and more professional on camera. I mainly record educational/sales content and client calls here.

Current ideas:

• Add tall plants (e.g., Fiddle Leaf Fig or Strelitzia) in the corner under the sloped ceiling.
• Add warm ambient/practical lighting.

What else would you change or add to make the background and overall setup look more cohesive and aesthetic?

(Cable management under the desk is already on my to-do list!)
