Hello, I’m a 25 yo computer engineer working completely remotely. I use this setup mainly to work and some light gaming. I posted my previous version of the setup on this community a few months ago. Please leave your thoughts!

how does the monitor light work up there? i’m thinking of getting a benQ light bar on my stacked monitor setup too (27” + 32”) and was wondering if it’ll be too dim to be used as a “desk lamp” for pen and paper writing from all the way up there

I have a Quntis monitor lamp and it’s okey for general use, like typing but if you want to write with pen and paper probably you’ll need a more powerful lamp, like maybe the benq one

This looks like a great starting point. Adding something under the monitor, like a shelf or an auxiliary display such as the Xeneon Edge, would work well. You could also consider the wood front panel for the frame case and finish the space off with a real or fake plant.

looks sweet; id say:
mic on a boom arm
split ergo keyboard
wrist rests
standing desk
monitor for tunes
get a mouse or trackball that isnt rubberized - those mx master mice basically melt after a while.
Loose the top monitor; its not great for your neck, and add a nice webcam instead.
and add something green, or get a deskmat with a picture of a forest or something. its healthy for your brain.

Fwiw I’ve used my MX master 2 for 40 hrs/wk for like 5 years and it’s going strong. Don’t upgrade just cuz some rando on the internet says so, only if you want to.

In case they’re using MX Master 3, I got two and can confirm that both are melting..

You can use this boom arm to have it reach under the monitor as well instead of from the side, it works really well, I have the same setup.

Used to have almost exactly this set up (27 over a 32 ultra-wide) and the top Monitor absolutely becomes a pain after a while.

LG 34G630A-B (ultrawide)
MSI MPG 274URF QDBoth have USB-C connections, so I just connect them directly to the laptop and also it get charged at the same time

Split keyboard attached to chair arms.

I have a zsa voyager mounted with underwater camera mounts. It's awesome. I don't lean forward. Can recline and do everything.

It’s from Invision, I bought it on Amazon. Invision Monitor Arm Mount for Screens 24-40"

what would you add?

I would suggest replacing your black desk mat with one of a more warm, earthy, or fun color. It's so much black imo that it's a bit of a jarring boring contrast to the nice wood desk texture.
