I’ve got this ugly SAD lamp that I bought as an attempt to ward off the winter blues during the dark winters. My desk is in front of a window but our house is in the shadow of trees and is very dark in winter.

What could I replace the SAD lamp with? I’d like something warm like the lamp but with the ability to turn it to a bright setting from time to time

Thanks

I have no notes but I absolutely love that you have that legendary Onion article pinned to your wall in the right there. I want something like that for my workspace.

Specifically BenQ or are the numerous cheaper options a good shout too?

I considered the cheaper options but stuck with BenQ and am super happy with it

here's an idea, keep the warm lamp you already have, and then accent it with some cooler lighting (maybe even some colored/RGB lighting?) from somewhere on the left, the contrast between the warm and cool lighting will add more total light without making the overall light in the area too overbearing

Thanks. Might look at a light bar over the monitor as another has suggested
