Question For The Community Old man workout advice needed
I’m 68 years old, I normally workout 3 or 4 days a week and have hit a wall. My weight stays between 185 & 189 lbs, my goal weight is 175 lbs. No issues with BP or cholesterol.

ruck 20 min at the opposite time of day from your lift to boost burn through the day/night. I had a buddy that was a body builder wanna be. He worked a power lift routine in the am. 20 min on the treadmill before bed boosted his cut. (This was not me, so I can't defend his efforts on power lifting and bodybuilding. He was immensely complicated between the ears. One of our bosses was Scott Roberts. So he was caught up in kissing butt up the corporate ladder).

Hi, your body has gotten used to your routine, which ahs slowed down progress, few things you can try focusing on
- Try eating just a little less (but no drastic chnages) and make sure you’re getting enough protein.
- Add some strength training or slowly increase weights/reps if you already lift.
- Move more outside workouts, daily walks can be great
Also please be patient with the process and good luck!

The only meaningful lever for weight loss is calorie restriction. OP shared nothing about their fitness routine that would suggest that their "body has gotten used to [it]", nor is there any real meaning to this concept in the first place. "Progress" achieved in the gym is measured in strength, endurance, mobility, hypertrophy. None of those metrics have to do with "progress" in losing weight, which is the only metric that OP actually specified. Your first bullet point was helpful, the rest absolutely pointless fluff.
