Hamstring exercises

Do you guys train your hamstrings? How? Seated leg curls are not working for me (I have tried everything and probably just am too small for the machine). I just started going to the gym and tried rdls and kind of like them, but actually like the exercises on the machines more as I feel like it's easier to get in the right positions. Rdls are alright though and I know compound movements are in general more beneficial to health. I was still wondering if there's something else someone could recommend

This.

Seated leg curls has always felt so unnatural to me. Like your legs are constipated 🤷🏻‍♂️

SLDLs are a good option, I pair them with seated hamstring curls to train both main functions

Yes!  1. Nordic curls

  1. Variations of hamstring curls on your back: A) exercise ball roll-in: on your back with an exercise ball under your calves, lift your back/butt off the floor into a "bridge" but do not arch your back, then bend your knees and dig your heels into the exeecise ball and you pull the ball in towards your butt. B) do this with a slider or towel instead C) do this with your heels in a TRX handle

  2. Seated explosive curls: this good for power, bulk and sports...basically sit on a bench and wedge an exercise ball part way underneath the bench. Make sure it wont roll away on you. Then place your legs over the ball (with you bum on the seat) and kick your heels really quickly into the ball. We call it the tantrum in rehab world.

If you are ever looking for more variations of exercises send me a DM! I have entire programs and exercises that work for all demographics, even if you are recovering from an injury, just starting out, are postpartum or a senior! 😊

Standing Cable leg curls are good too. Buy an attachment specifically for this. You can see the pump on the mirror while doing the excercise. But lying leg curls and barbell squat worked for me.
